Hi mummies, when i pat my LO to sleep, I will either put her down on bed or mat. 5-10 mins later, she will wake up. Likewise, if i use a baby carrier and put her down, she will scream at the top of her voice and gets really cranky. This is frustrating as I can't do any housework. Any mummies encounter this and how to deal with it?

My 7MO is on 4 milk feeds (180ml) a day and on 2 BLW meals. Approximately when can his milk feeds be reduced to 3 daily?

Hi, just to share, my 2.5 yo toddler is still taking 4 milk feeds a day. I think the key is not really how often he drinks but how much he drinks in a day. Food before 1 years is mostly for fun and learning. For an 8 month old, he'll need about 24ounce/720ml a day. This is just an average given by the AAP. Some babies drink more, some drink less. Hi i would like to know the following for travelling. My girl is on formula n solid. 1. Are we allow to bring thermos with hot water during check in as i be checking in 2hrs earlier in the wee morning n scared girl need drink milk? ( i know there is cold water to refill in the airport n can only take hotwater in plane) 2. Are we allow to bring scissors in hand carry as to cut baby food ? Or only in check-in luggage?

1. Yes. 2. You definitely can check in your scissors. As of hand carry, you may want to check with the airport security at the departing and receiving airport as they are more stringent now and may not allow it to be hand carried.

I've prepared sweet potato puree mix with bm last night and store in fridge. Can i feed tonight? Im not sure if i am suppose to blend with bm first & store?

Yes you can still feed your LO tonight as long as it was immediately stored in the fridge and not previously exposed. I personally prefer to mix my EBM to puree just before feeding because some puree may get more watery in the fridge (or freezer).

My baby is preterm born at 31 weeks, any advice when can I bring my baby out?

Apart from vaccinations, I only brought my baby out aft 3 mths. As I feel that there are many germs and viruses outside and baby immunity is weak. I rather wait for her to be stronger first. I would wait for at least 1 mth aft the 40 wks full term.

My mom advised me not to give eggs and strawberries when my LO (10.5 months old) has cough, flu and phlegm. Is it true that I shouldn't give? Is it more like a Chinese belief? Cos I ask my baby's PD and she said can give.

It's a TCM belief and there's some truth in it. Whenever my LO have cough, if I were to give her eggs, it will aggravate the cough. Too much eggs will induce cough too so I only allow one egg once weekly or bi-weekly if I gave her snacks that contains eggs. If she's already has runny nose, eggs will make her mucus watery and will take one week to recover. Generally when having cough, cold and phlegm, the only fruit that I will give is Shingo pear ideally (steamed 30mins or on it's own) or any brown pear.

Recently, my baby, of all things picked up a habit. She likes to orh pi sai (dig her nose)! Hahaa it's so adorable but is it normal for 1 yo babies to do such things? P.s no I doubt she learnt it from me ;)

It's okay, she is learning and exploring. just ensure she washes her hands later on.
