My 3mo enjoys putting her fist in her mouth and chewing on her thumb. Is this part of her motor skills development, and should I pull her hand out from the mouth whenever I see her doing that? Sometimes, she will suck her fingers till she vomit as well. ?

It is. They will put everything into their mouth for quite a Long while. They are learning, registering shapes, sizes, texture when they put things into their mouth.

Recently, my 3-month old gets fussy in her sleep. She is currently on tbm and can only sleep if my nipple is in her mouth or at her lips. The moment I move my nipple away, she will start searching around for it even when her eyes are closed. Most of the times, she wants it inside her mouth and will start to bite down my nipple in her sleep, which is when I will pull it out. Tried to replace it with pacifier but she rejected it. Sometimes, after my husband coaxed her to sleep already and I carried her to soothe her further before putting her on the bed, she would also start searching for my nipples. Anyway to stop her from doing this, cos it gets very tiring at times.

I think this is very common for babies who are breastfed and not on pacifiers. My child was like this too when she was younger, I had to bf her to sleep and she outgrew it around 5 months. Like the mummy above said, its a phase, they will outgrow it. If you don't want to practice such attachment parenting, you may want to let her fuss for a period until she get used to it. Pacifiers never worked for my child, she did end up sucking her thumb for a while and also did outgrew it around 6/7 months. Remember that she's still very very young at 3 months, and your boobies is just looking for a way to feel secure and comforted. Hang in there!

My lo dont know how to suck from straw cup and just kept biting the straw. How can i encourage her or teach her? Im using the richell setq

I also use Richell but I realised the one with button is harder to suck. That one I only use a few times to let her know she can suck water out if it, from then on she uses the normal straw cup that came with the set.

Baby poop is orange. 6 months - just started solid. Is this normal?

Initial stages of baby poop will always have traces of what you just fed them. Did you by any chance feed your baby any orange food like pumpkin or carrot?

Hi, I'd like to know your opinions: My rational for compulsory nap is so that I don't have to deal with gross misbehaviour in the evenings, and so they are rested enough. However, my kids fight nap every weekend (they nap in school on weekdays), and I drive myself crazy over it. Should I enforce nap time? Or leave them running wild to save my sanity? Kids are 5, 3 and 2 Exasperated

How do I thaw frozen purees? I understand that I should take out from the freezer the night before and place it in the refrigerator. When it's time to feed baby, do I just take the puree out and serve cold or do I have to heat it up? And in the event whereby I forgot to take out from freezer the night before, what's the best way to thaw it immediately? Thanks!

Hi mummies, can you recommend me any good and portable electric cooker? I'm currently using a slow cooker to cook porridge for my 10mth baby but am hoping to get one for travelling. Thanks in advance! :)

What to take note for baby's first swim at public Swimming pool? She is 10month old now. What should I prepare? Should I apply sun block for her? if the chemical ok for baby? What time is the most suitable?

I personally prefer about 10am. When the sun is good and yet not too hot. For a 10month old i would let her play for about 20 minutes on average. Yes i do apply sun block. Sun block is an essential not only for us adults but our kids as well.
