Hi mummies, Just to check, my lo is currently 5mths old. We are giving him Baby cereal to wean for a week. I noticed he seemed to develop phlegm. Will cereal cause phlegm?

Hi what brand and type of cereal did you give? I have seen some brands of cereal containing apple juice contents, and these may cause phlegm because fruits do cause phlegm. However if he is starting out to eat a little it should not be the case but in any case pls look at the ingredients. Is he on BM or FM? IMO FM causes phlegm. My gal has phlegm since birth and it can never go away.

My boy is eating cerelac plain rice cereal. Has been eating for about a month. So far no problem
