Baby banging head

Hi! Would like to remain anonymous for this post because it's a sensitive topic.. for me. My son just turned 1 years old. He has the habit of banging his forehead on the playpen gates, or when we're in the car, he likes to stand at the window, look out and suddenly he'll bang his head a few times. We'll immediately stop him. Most of the time it's not hard, but sometimes when he accidentally hits his head hard, he will cry if it's painful. Sometimes he would throw his body back and purposely and repeatedly bang his head to the back when he's frustrated or doesn't get what he wants. But this part, I know this is tantrums. But my concern is the first part, where he bangs his head/forehead on objects, gates. Any of your babies do that? Is it normal? I brought him for his 1 years old immunization and developmental check up at the polyclinic last few days and raised this concern, doctor said to monitor because it's an early sign of ASD 😢 I personally don't think so as he's able to make eye contact with me, interact with me etc. I just feel that.. isn't it too early for the doctor to say all this? The doctor also asked if my son is able to point at objects that he wants, says mummy/daddy or follow one step instructions. I said no.. and I understand and would like my son to take his own time to grow too because he's literally just 1 years old and 5 days. But doctor said she will schedule my son for another appt 3 months later to monitor his language development because it's a concern. Makes me a little sad though. I'm a preschool teacher and I always encourage children to take their own time to learn.. or achieve any milestone because different children develops at different pace. Any of you guys face the same issue? Thank you! 🥺❤️

how many teeth does your little one have now?

Hi mummies, for those with babies due in March 2023, how many teeth does your little one have now? Mine still only has 6 (4 on top, 2 at the bottom) 😢 I’ve already tried giving cheese, and letting them bite into harder fruits, but still no new teeth coming in. Thankfully, they’re eating well and can chew anything already. Any suggestions on what else I can try, mummies?

ehh the teeth will come in on their own no need to do anything extra. If you're really concern then bring them to c a dentist

Which baby cot is good?

Which cot is suitable for 7 months old baby? I'm contemplating on Beblum but would appreciate if you have better option. Thanks :)

Palette box is a good alternative. You can adjust the height of the crib so that you can use it for a longer time.

What baby age can barbers in SG trim hair (w/ clippers) instead of shave?

We went to check at EC House, K-Cut, BabySpa -- they all said can only shave baby until botak. Our baby is 6 month old and has thick hair, just needs trimming to make tidy but most barbers refuse to use clippers. Does anyone know any barber/salon that can trim 6-month baby? If not, when is the youngest they can do it?

You can try going to Scissors Paper Stone at Forum Orchard or Marina Square. My daughter had her first haircut there at 9 months old, I think they can cut as long as baby is old enough to sit up steadily on your lap.

Baby sleep

My LO is turning 5 months in a few days. He used to sleep in the baby cot. His last milk for the day is usually 9-9.30pm and he is on full FM. Few weeks ago, he started to wake up every 30mins-1hr. So we decided to let him co sleep recently. Past few nights he started to toss and turn and fuss, sometimes he flips over to his tummy while still asleep. I had to turn him back. I am afraid it will affect the quality of his sleep or his breathing. Anyone experienced the same? Does it resolve?
