Is confinement lady important?

I think it's rather important, however it's more important to have a reliable and experience CL. Keeps you and everybody else in the family sane.

My LO is 3 weeks old. I was told to feed every 2-3hours. But if baby sleep more then 3hours will you wake them up for feed or let them sleep till they cry for milk ?

Is coughing and sneezing normal for a 3 weeks old baby ? Should I bring her to a doctor ?

Hi, I think sneezing and coughing is quite normal in newborn babies. Sneezing is nothing to worry about, but if coughing persists then you should see a doctor in time before it increases. What milk bottles are you all using? My LO is 5 weeks old. Been using spectra pump and spectra wide neck milk bottles 160ml and teats. However spectra bottle neck area is not secure, sometimes milk will leak and their teats will auto flow out milk when i turn the bottle upside down.

In fact i use pigeon bottle with spectra pump. It cannot be fitted nicely but at least is not loose.

What is the fees for childcare currently? With working Mom benefit. There's subsidy for Low income as well right, what is the cap? Thanks!

There is working mum subsidies and a start up grant for those household incomes fall below 3.5k Do check with the CC on the start up grant as it usually can only be applied once your child starts school.

Dear mummies, my 1 y.o. LO just fell down on his mouth and knock his upper front gums (2teeth).?? Bleeds briefly then stopped. I worry will he be fine? Should i bring him to pd dentist? Any recomendation wud be appreciated.. Im staying in the west,if any..

If you want to see a dentist I only know of Kids Dental World at Mount E novena branch.the dentist Dr Ong Yean Sze is very patient and good with kids. http://www.kidsdentalworld.com.sg/about_us-bio.html It is good to have a dentist check his teeth because my niece fell off the bed a few times when she was a baby and she ended up with uneven upper teeth.

Is this cheese safe for babies less than a year old to take? If not, which type and where could I get?

Hi sliced cheddar cheese are safe because they are not soft cheese. But I prefer to give baby cheese that is not sliced and processed like the one you posted because these are saltier. I suggest you get the cheese in blocks which should have lower sodium content. You can try cheese blocks like mild cheddar. If you want sliced ones maybe you can consider the brand organic valley from NTUC finest. It is organic and the cows are grass fed cows. Price is quite steep though. Cost $12 during non promo but I got it for $9 plus during promo and there were only 8 slices

How Long will babies outgrow baby cot, bouncer? At what age do you still carry ur Bubs in a carrier/ sling?

Hi, Well! It depends on the size and weight of the baby but generally the baby outgrows baby cot in 15 months or so. My baby cot was designed in way that it would not tip off so my baby used to get out of it and go on her own by the time she turned a little more than one year. I carried my baby in sling till 7 months. She turned heavier and I had to shift her to a pram and stroller.

Any healthy food can help kids to gain weight? For 1 yr old kid

My good friend's daughter was told to gain better weight too. Sometimes is is not the food we give them, it is also the timing and the way we feed them.My friend shared with me what the nutritionist advised her. Sometimes it is better to let baby try to self feed. In the process of learning to self feed they will start to have more interest in food and explore more taste. Milk needs to be cut down to about 650ml( her gal is 16 mo) Need to give three meals a day. Because my friend's daughter has milk at about 5-6am so she has no appetite for breakfast so they must start to drop the 6am milk feed or drink lesser milk. As for foods to gain weight, go for proteins like eggs, chicken, avocado, sweet potato, banana, cheese
