What is the diet need to be folowed to increase mother feeding supply..

U mean increase breastmilk? I took in a lot of liquid; hot soup, juices, hot water. Other than that, I ate a lot of fish like codfish, threadfin and salmon n veg like broccoli n spinach. Other than that, I pump every 2 hourly. My yield was v good.

Have a migraine the last two days. Trying to avoid medicine as I am a breastfeeding Mum (had 1 Panadol though). Any home remedies I can try?

Drink lots of water. Headaches thrive on dehydration.

My milk supply is getting lower and lower. From 140ml reduced until 80/90ml now. My 6mnth LO drink not much each time also. Is it because she just started solids? Will my milk supply disappear one day? Will my LO lack of nutrition? Hope can feed her until 1.5yo. Urgently need your advice! Thanks!

Hi mummy, Is the frequency of pumping still the same? Once baby start solid, the milk consumption will drop. Perhaps you can set a schedule for milk and solid. Baby will gets the nutrition from the food intake, so dont worry about that. (Unless your bubs is a picky eater).

Is it ok to colour hair when i'm breastfeeding? how will it (if it does) affect my LO?

Yes you can but be mindful of the odor of the hair dye. Make sure that your hair is perfectly rinsed.

Hi mummies, my lil bub is 4 month old and is drinking 90ml in infant care on an avg 3 times a day, when we are home i direct latch. Previously she was only drinking 80ml and i have just increased to 90ml 2 weeks ago after my massage lady commented that my bub is drinking too little. The teachers feedback that she was slow drinker and suggest to change bigger teat. should i change to bigger teat and risk being rejected by bub? should i increase to 100ml per feed?

Not sure, but my bub drinks about 120 ml for each feed and she is coming 9 weeks.

I'm going back to work next month... Will need to prepare 1 weeks' worth of fbm and chilled bm to be transported to lo weekly. Any mummies out there who are doing the same? Can share how you manage the fbm and chilled bm? I see some mommies mentioned that we can prepare chilled bm for 1st and 2nd day of the week and thereafter will be fbm. I'm trying to keep fbm minimal coz lo doesn't really like fbm and i want to minimize scalding bm too.

I see my baby everyday, but I pump at work. I express my milk and store it in bottles for her feed the next day. On Fridays, I express it into milk bags for it to be frozen. My baby can handle both frozen and chilled milk. In your case, I've read that chilled milk can be stored safely for up to 8 days, so it should be fine for you to go without freezing the milk. http://www.llli.org/faq/milkstorage.html

My 2 month old has been latching constantly since yesterday. Usually she would nurse 3 hours interval, n starting from yesterday , she keeps wanting to latch and basically it's like non stop. Once I pull off my nipple from her, she would seek for it, if I don't offer my breast to get, she would cry v loudly, as if she's very hungry.. I even brought out my stash as both my breast doesn't have enough milk for her when she's latching like this.. I hasn't blink an eye since last night till now, and as I'm typing out this qns, she's still latching. I seriously need some help !

Baby may be going through a growth spurt. During a growth spurt, breastfed babies tends to nurse more than usual and are often fussier. The increase demand of nursing is temporary. It usually lasts for 2-3 days. You can continue to nurse baby, not necessary to give expressed milk as growth spurt do help mummies in increasing their supply as well. Looks not bad, but prior to this post I had never heard of it before. For $399 it's quite steep and would rather use the spectra. What has attracted U to this?

someone told me he knew of a fren whose 6months baby die due to lack of water. the baby was said to be on mixed feeding. so i am told must give water to my baby. my baby is total bf now. i know i read i dont need to give water to bb less than 6months old. but that story is nervewracking... water for baby anyone?

No water for babies below 6mo. You can verify this advice with any PDs. Breastmilk contains 88% water, so your baby is well hydrated.

I am a just enougher at 11 wpp.. usually I pump 6 times a day, consistently around 160-200ml each time. this week, I pump low sometimes (E.g. 120ml) and higher sometimes (E.g.230ml) even though the intervals between pumps are still 4 hours. any one has any idea what is happening?
