3-4 hours in aircon is ok in my opinion. Without aircon, max 1 hour

How to keep on breastfeeding all the way till I want to stop breastfeeding..? Is there anything to able to boost my BM..?

Stress is a milk killer too! So keep calm, be happy and enjoy being with your LO. That's why some mommies can leak whenever thinking about their babies though they are apart. Of course eating the right food also important, like mentioned by our friend above. Happy breastfeeding,mom!

How to gauge flange size when buying a pump online? Does having a big breast mean u need big flanges? Any guideline to follow?

When purchasing flanges, it is all about a comfortable fit. It is an inexact science and apparently has nothing to do with the size of your breasts but rather the size of your nipples. It depends on the meds you are taking but majority of medicines are safe to take. You may check www.e-lactancia.org enter the generic name and it will show you if it is safe to take while breastfeeding. This website is recognized by WHO for breastfeeding women.

If am I down with food poisoning, can I still breastfeed?

Make sure though you drink lots and lots of water because you need double hydration for food poisoning and producing milk. Also, make sure to wash your hands before handling baby :)

Hi mummies, my yield per session is about 100-150ml, am i considered as an oversupply as long my supply was more than demand? My bub is only taking 90ml in IFC. Currently I pumped about 5 times a day, 2 times at home and 3 times at work. My bub is 4mths 2 wks old, i felt like reducing some pump session. Normally when baby starts solid, milk intake will decrease? this is my avg. wkday schedule: 6am - pump 1 side @ 20mins, the other side 10mins 6.40am - latch on the side that only pumped 10mins 10am - pump both sides 20mins 1pm - pump both sides 20mins 4pm - pump both sides 20mins 7.30pm-10pm - latch on demand (abt 3 times before bub goes to bed) 12am - pump both sides 20mins Appreciate any inputs! Tia.

Hello Mummy Grace, normally baby only latch 1 side per feeding. eg.8pm on left side, 9.30pm right side. i will pump both side before bed, about 12am so that i will not be too engorged till i wake up at 5.50am.

Frenotomy to relieve tongue-tie for an infant. Anyone has any experience? Read about a lot of hopeful stories online, esp. how it helps proper latching during breastfeeding but still cautious of course

A colleague at work mentioned that her daughter's lingual frenectomy was a success. Her daughter is 3 now and there are no side effects to it. According to her, the procedure did not take long at all. Baby will be swaddled and the tongue is gently lifted up using fingers or a special instrument, afterwhich the frenulum (the thin skin under the tongue) is then quickly snipped with sterile scissors. The tongue is then again gently lifted to ensure the frenulum has been completely clipped. Whole procedure takes less than 15 seconds and no anesthesia is needed. Baby can breastfeed immediately after the procedure. Think she had it done at one of the hospitals but you can approach the dentist for more information too.

for the mommies who pump at work, what do you bring to work besides the pump? how do you store your milk at work? details would be good. I'm using the Spectra M1 and Philips Avent storage containers. haven't bought my chiller bag so I'm seeking advice. thanks!
