Exclusive pumping
Hi, I’m exclusive pumping for breast milk as my lo refused to latch on.I’m realised the supply drop in this few days. Please advise what to do. Thanks.
Breastfeeding tips
Probably the most common issue mummies face is not knowing when to feed, how much is enough and what are some cues to look out for. This chart would be helpful. Every baby is different but the one similar advice that would be given is to check baby diaper output! That would be a clear indication if baby is drinking enough or is dehydrated. Most importantly, don’t sweat it!
Supply dropped after covid
I just recovered from covid, and my milk supply dropped from 120ml to 70-80ml each pump. I have been drinking lots of water and taking supplyments but it's not working. Has anyone had the same experience? Did your supply eventually come back to normal?
Compare on breastfeeding duration
Mil has been comparing me with sil on how long I breastfeed the baby. I don't produce bm as much as my sil, and I struggled to breastfeed until my baby was 6 months old. On the other hand, sil is oversupply, and she can breastfeed her 2 kids with her bm with extra supply. Mil says cause I don't take care of myself well, which caused me to be low supply on my bm. Honestly, I did all I could, but I'm at wits end when it comes to bm supply. I'm currently pregnant with no.2, and I'm scared about breastfeeding, to be honest.
Is breastfeeding worth it?
I just think post partum is hell and a lot tougher than the actual giving birth. And breastfeeding is the main cause of it. I mean not only it doesn't allow you to sleep, it causes you physical and mental pain. It feels like torture. I cannot wait for my baby to turn 6 months because I can finally stop bf. I really don't think there's much enjoyment to it. Like alright I like to see when my son is latching on to me but hey there are so many other ways to bond that doesn't cause my chest to hurt. I get sharp pain ever so often in my breast. It feels like someone is sticking needles into them. And then, the breast pads are so uncomfortable to wear outside. Why are they so scratchy? They ruin my mood instantly. Also my breast feels so tender most of the time that even a light touch feels uncomfortable. I also hate showering now because it hurts my breast. Even wrapping a towel over my body causes discomfort. Can someone just tell me if the antibodies in BM is worth all this agony? Can someone shed light scientifically if it is superior of all milk and helps with baby's immunity? Bf is a nightmare

Do NOT shake your breast milk!
u heard it. swirl ur bm! shaking will denature the proteins in ur bm:) the proteins are large molecules that contains string chains of amino acids. These large molecules will twist, fold, turn, branch and scrunch together in very specific unique ways. The way that these proteins connect and orient themselves is critical to how they work in building muscle, killing bacteria, or doing whatever function that they are designed to do.
.
My 8 months old son has been eating nothing except for my milk. I've been direct latching him since day 1 till now. It's fine right? Not eating, just breastmilk.
