Hi, anyone or u have friend/relative who works at AST (Academy of Singapore Teachers)? I will be there for a long term full day course soon. Hence, would like to know whether there is: @ any available fridge that I can use to chill my expressed breastmilk? @ any proper nursing room for AST participants? Thanks!
I'm a first time mom due on 2nd week of August 2016 and I would like to know about storing breastmilk?
my child is coming to 4months old and currently direct latching full bf. im curious to know how to direct latch once bb teeth starts appearing... will bb bite on..
I have been exclusively pumping for 3 months and decided to latch my baby again. thankfully she did, however, she seems to be pacifying and not swallowing milk. after that I would still need to top up 100+ml of ebm in bottle. any tips on how to encourage her to drink from the breast? thank you.
Thanks for answering to my doubts. Parenttown doesn't allow people to tag user so I was unable to thank those who came to my help. Anyway, I would like to ask: I Hv been letting baby to direct latch as much as possible because I was told that baby drains milk faster and more efficient from breasts than breast pump. However, I have difficulty determining whether my baby had enough of milk or not because sometimes she sucks less than 5 min and drifts into sleep, and cries again after 30min-1hr. sometimes, she sucks for awhile and reject my nipple and cries. Especially during evening time. This is the time I will succumb to giving bottle (either breastmilk or formula milk if I run out of breastmilk)
I feel like I have run out of milk every evening. I tried to switch my baby from one side to another but she seemed impatient and refused to suck. I would try for an hour and succumb to giving her expressed breast milk. I don't know if she is gaining weight or not because the next check up is 2 weeks from now. As for her diaper count, she used up about 5-6 diapers per day.
When my baby is around 2months old, he has a little blood in the stool and we were refer to kkh to see the pd in clinic k. The pd advice me to stop taking milk and soy products as my baby may be allergic to it (i breastfeed my baby) and have blood in the stool.s Now my baby is about 9month old already, but actually I on off taking milk product as it's hard to really avoid them. But since my baby started solid, i am not able to see whether there are blood in the stool since there are so many other stuff in the stool, just wonder any mum here can't take milk and soy products too? How u know ur bb already outgrowth the allergic already?
my bb has a preferred boob side. my guess is because the other with a faster letdown is not to her liking. i end up pumping and that side is getting further away from being in sync with baby. what to do? btw i defn tried latching her that side she doesnt like but she latch a few mouthful and start crying like im forcing her to eat awful things but switched sides, she latch peacefully.
i was latching on dd during my ML and boby started to sync with baby's feeding. after i go back to work and started pumping, my body seems no longer in sync with my baby's feeding. now she sometimes sleep thru the night yet my boobs are up for pumping in the middle of the night. any other mumies have similar issues? how do you resolve this?
To pump for 15 mins on 3 hourly schedule or to pump for 30 mins but 4 hourly?
