I feel like my 19m old is a glutton. Can eat a cup of rice with veggies for dinner and still latches on me for a good 3hrs nonstop before sleeping. My breasts are so sore. Is this just a stage or what?

Hmmm is your child a very active child? If he is, this could explain the amount of food he is eating or that he has a very healthy appetite. Size of the baby also contributes to how much he eats -- my cousin's baby is biracial (half caucasian) and is a pretty big baby. He is nearly 2 years old and I notice he eats and drinks alot too.

I heard this saying,that if you don't breastfeed as much as you can...Baby won't grow up to be close to you. Is it true?

I believe BF is not the only thing for making bonding between baby and mother.

How do I know if my pump is still in a good condition or I should change to a new one? My supply is dropping but it might be because I have returned to work and baby has been eating solids too.

Try changing your pump parts, particularly your valves since they are notorious for altering pump suction with just a hairline crack in them. How old is your LO, and how do you know that your supply dropped?

Is it normal that I don't feel engorge?

When was the last time you fed your baby or pump out your milk? How old is your baby now?

My bb is turning 6mo n fully breastfed since birth. All along nursing has been pain free until 2days ago when my left nipple feels sore when she's feeding. But after feeds n when I pump it feels normal, only feels sore n raw when she's latching on Pls adv? Anything to do with teething cos she's teething now/soon? Thx!

If your bub is teething, her latch may be a little different as babies are feeling the new configuration in their mouth. Babies are constantly experimenting. Do bear with it for a while or adjust your nursing position to make the latch more bearable.

I am a breastfeeding mummy, and one of my nipples N aeorola (the brown patch) is substantially larger than the other side? Should I be worried? Will the nipples ever grow back to normal?

From what I know from my other mummy friends, your breasts and nipples will never be the same again. In fact here's a popular joke pic that is circulated amongst breastfeeding mums that expresses this fact

How do i wean my son in breastfeeding? He is now 3 y/o, he did not want to drink any milk except my breastmilk.

For me, I will try not to use cold turkey as I find it too harsh on the baby as baby is very attached to my breasts. Imagine someone suddenly remove something that you like and you will be very upset too. However, it also depends on your baby's temperant, where some babies are quite easy-going and cold turkey is workable. I just weaned my 2 years old boy from direct latching. He still suckle my breasts although there is no milk and I feel that it is time for him to wean off. What I did is, I told him mummy has no more milk for him as the milk dried up. You can have 10 suckles each time for today and I gradually reduce the number of suckles that he can have. The difficult part is the night weaning where he will cry inconsolably. I took 2 weeks to wean him off my breasts totally. You need to be persistent and do not give in at all when your baby cries, just to reassure him/her it is okay and give him the substitute of your breasts e.g. milk bottle. It takes a lot of patience to deal with changing behaviour (due to upset) during the weaning too.

My LO is 4 mths and i just found out i'm pregnant again. LO is totally breastfed but my supply is getting lower and lower by the day. Does this mean i have to stop breastfeeding or can i take any supplement which is both safe for my LO and the baby?

Your body will carry on producing milk while you're pregnant, so you suould be able to breastfeed. Breastfeeding during pregnancy is okay if your pregnancy is going well, and you are healthy. Perhaps you can consider taking milk boosters that are also beneficial and nutritious for pregnancy. For example, oatmeal is good for producing bm and it is a food that pregnant women eat for energy. Milo (Australian recipe) is known to be a great milk booster and alot of pregnant women drink milo in place of coffee.

Mummies who does or intend to do tanderm breastfeeding, how long do you intend to tanderm till? Would you still continue despite the naysayers?

A friend of mine breastfed all throughout her pregnancy with her son who was turning 4 years old that time. They tandem nursed until the eldest decided to self wean and said he will give way to younger brother. Aww..
