Building milk supply

I am trying to build up my milk supply and I understand that I should be pumping after latching. Currently my LO need a feed every 1.5 hour if i breastfeed him. I have tried pumping after that but I realized he would refuse latching during the next feed as there are not enough milk stored in the breast for him. He is on 90ml currently when bottle feed (which only last for 2 hours) but I can only pump out an average of 40-60ml each time. How should I do this to increase supply while continue latching him?

Is it possible for relactation?

I stop bf my LO after a month as i suffered from PND and was adviced by the Dr that the medication I’m taking do have long term effects. To prevent any complications, I’ve stopped bf as i was already on low supply. Now i miss bonding with my LO during bf-feeding time. Any idea how to get the supply back?

Hi... May I know how long have you stopped BF? If your BM has completely dried up, it will be difficult to re-start BF. I would suggest that you consult your gynecologist

first of all. i wna say i know smoking is bad if I'm gonna breast feed baby etc. but ive tried quitting and i just cannot it considering my in laws are all heavy smokers. and ive a routine that if i smoke I'll wait 4hours later then I'll pump and feed that milk to baby. now the thing is, my supply dropped bc i did not pump regularly for about a week instead of pumping every 3/4hourly I was pumping at 6-7hourly hence supply drop. I'm drinking red dates in hopes to boost milk. and would like to know can i just pump and dump my milk ever 1hrly (considering i did smoke and it has not hit the 4hr mark yet) will it help to increase supply

Hi all...only 6days off delivery...my breast hurts even just lil pressure touch...try pumping bt not much..what should i do to relieve the pain and pump out bm?

I think quite common to have engorgement when milk just came in. I tried to avoid milk boosters for that period. It will become better after ur supply regulates

comfort latching

My going 1 mth old LO loves to latch to sleep recently. However due to let down, she always end up making a big fuss or get choke by milk during let down. She will cry when i unlatch her and will also cry of i let her continue to latch on. Anyone faces the same?

Yes I faced the same issue. If you need to rest.. Can consider feeding pumped breast milk. If u have time and energy then let baby latch on.

insufficient milk supply?

supply dropped by a lot. now every time i pump it's usually just enough for my baby next feed. and on days i pump lesser than 100ml i get very upset bc my lo is 2mths old and she drinks 140-160ml per feed every 3hrs! feelinvery stressful and disheartened.. sometimes i drag the timing, instead of pumping 3hrly i pump every 5hrs in order to hit the 100ml> if not i only get 60-80ml every 3hrly. i latch my lo every morning though and im drinking red dates with lance asiabell. milk still doesn't seem enough... during confinement, i always could freeze extra but now ive used up all my frozen milk (april till may, apox 150ml each packet 3-5 packet a day). any breast feeding mummies can advice? i rly want to continue until lo is at least 6mths but hope to last until she is 1yrs is best scenario..

Help - Medela Free Style

Hello mummies, I have My Medela free style pump. But i am not sure why I am unable to be hands free whenever I’m pumping the BF out. Like, I would need to hold it manually for 30 mins for it to be done. Pls advise! Thank you!!! :)

Breastfeed LO poo

Hi ,my LO is at week6 now, fully breastfeed baby . Recently his pop is yellow watery texture as shown in the pic. Not that seedy type. Is this normal for breastfeed baby ? Or is this diarrhea ?
