Problem latching

Hi I just gave birth one week ago and have stopped latching as my nipples hurt a lot when baby latches even though it seems like she is latching correctly sometimes. What should I do to help her latch and ease my pain? I have been pumping but noticed white spots on my nipples too. Is it sign of clogged ducts? How should I solve this problem :(

Congrats on your new arrival. For me, bub was too small, and most babies will need to learn how to latch. You can do baby led latching. It also depends on the size of bub’s mouth, and your breast size. In the end, im using nipple shield, which has helped me alot.

Formula Milk Small Can

Anyone knows where i can buy a small can of Nan Optipro 1 (0-6mths)? I only want ti get a small can to sometimes supplement my breastmilk during the night and a 800gm can is way too much and it's always wasted. Thanks

Outdoor Breastmilk

Hi all, I just wondering how can I bring bm out for my baby if we going to stay outdoor for half a day. Any suggestion? Currently full bm at home only when I go out, I will bring FM. My baby refused to latch me so I already on bottle since she was born. Thank you in advance for all suggestions

Bring chilled BM and out in cooler box. Warm by putting it in hot water when baby wanna drink :)

Washing Breast with soap

Hi mummies, after showering with soap, do I need to squeeze out some breast milk before pumping/breastfeeding? P/s: before and after pumping/breastfeeding, i will clean my breast with wet towel

No need. Maybe before pumping can just use warm cloth to clean it

Hi mummies, can you eat spicy food such as mala hotpot when you are breastfeeding your Lo?

Exclusive Pumping

Hi dear mummies, hope you can help me with two questions: 1) will exclusive pumping reduce breast milk if you do not direct latch? 2) my child will cry terribly whenever he direct latch as the milk supply is low, is there any way i can latch him better? He will only wake up when he is hungry for milk and I couldn’t tease him to be awake to latch. 3) he drinks bottle fed formula milk + my 40ml express breastmilk at different feeding intervals.. is it ok if he drinks two hourly sometimes instead of three hours? He seems hungry very fast. He is four days only, thank you!

I was exclusive pumping for my first child as my LO don’t latch and probably I did not really done my part. The amount is lesser and I only managed to pump till 9mo. If direct latch, I heard mommy can bf till 2yo. You may feed him 2 hourly, it’s fine. :) Hope this helps

Hi mommies. Is it normal to have one side breast able to express 80ml bm and the other side express 20ml or lesser bm? Is it also normal that the nipples is sensitive/tender all the time?

Store breastmilk

Do you store breastmilk in house fridge? If so, how to prevent contamination? Do you transfer breastmilk from freezer to chiller section first or direct to warm? Thanks!

Yes I store in house fridge in a separate compartment by itself. I try to keep my fridge empty. Freezer to chiller the day before.
