How to increase breastmilk supply?

Recently, I stopped breastfeeding and pumping due to busy schedule. Today I want to start breastfeeding again, however I realised my breast become smaller and the supply become lesser. Is it possible for milk supply to be back again? What are some ways I can do? Thank you very much. ?

Milk supply will drop because it is about demand and supply. When you don’t breastfeed or pump, you are signalling to your body that you don’t need the milk. Yes, it’s possible to regain supply but you need to be diligent and breastfeed/pump every 3 hour, even in the middle of the night. You can also do power pumping for 1 of the session, preferably at night since milk production peaks at night. Eat milk boosters such as oats, dates, salmon and durians etc and drink lots of water (at least 2 litres). All the best!

Hi mummies, any reco on which breastpump should i go with ? What are things to look out for and i was wondering if we will naturally have 'milk supply' of our own ? I got my breastpump next day after birth when lc confirm i had milk. I got ny spectra s1 from qoo10 very good! I got a haakaa before giving birth its a very useful hand express pump prevent leakage all over and can store the leak milk.

breast lump after pregnancy

Hi Momies, I am a new mom , delivered baby 10 days back. They gave me tablets for milk production without checking my milk supply on day 1 and on day 2 they realised there is engorgement and big lumps in both breast. Now because of that i could not teach latching to my baby and he is on bottle feed. Its been 10 days , doing hot compression, massage, breast pumping and sometimes manual extraction with hands but still feel some big lumps are there. My whole day is gng into this process and not getting time to make bond with baby. Now he is not latching, may be due to short nipple or hard breast. I am very much tired and frustrated , please help.

Pumpables Super Genie VS Spectra S1

Hi mummies, I’m currently using Spectra S1 and is thinking of getting 1 more pump to bring to office. Would like to know if anybody has experience using Pumpables Super Genie and how it is compared to Spectra S1. Thanks!

Have not tried pumpables Super genie. But I saw some mummies commenting that the suction is very strong. If spectra s1+ is working well for you, maybe you can consider getting 1 more? That’s what I’m doing too. I keep my spectra s1+ in my office locker, but I have 1 more spectra s1+ at home too. SuperMom is selling at $295 now, quite a good deal.

Medela Freestyle Flex

Hi mummies, anyone tried the Medela Freestyle Flex? How does it hold up compared to the Freestyle and Spectra S1? I need a pump thars efficient but quiet. Thank you!

Haven’t tried medela freestyle flex. I have a spectra s1+ and medela freestyle. Definitely prefer spectra s1+. Can clear my boobs better. SuperMom is only selling it at $295 now.

1st time mum: Breastfeeding

I noticed my nipple does not output a lot of milk though I can feel there's full of milk in my breast it jus not coming out, when I hand press it I only see 1 or 2 outlet from my nipple that dispense the milk, I asked my confinement nanny, she mentioned my nipple outlets are block or not open to dispense all milk in my breast. ( it's not nipple blisters). Should I get lactation consultant or is there any one that could provide me some advice
