How to make more bm?

My LO is 5 mths old. He's a mix feed baby since birth (a NICU baby) and have been rejecting bm since he was 3 mths old. Tried as much as I could to latch him, give him frozen bm, fresh or even chilled bm, he will gag and refused to drink unless I dream feed him. But today he seems that he wants to latch. The moment I showed him my boob, he will open his mouth wide and latch on for a good 10-20 mins. The problem is, I have been pumping since he has stopped latching 2 mths ago but all I get daily is 30ml for both side and 40-50ml in the morning. I did power pumping, drank avocado shake, ate durian, salmon, oats, even lactation cookies, none seem to work. How do I make more bm for him given that my bm is already established since I'm already 5 mths pp? #advicepls

Hi mama, first off - relax. Feeling relaxed and happy helps in milk let downs. Expressing breast milk

Frequent pumping

I've been pumping every three hours these couple of days hoping that it can build up to my supply. Is it normal for the output to drop with every pumping session? I.e. from 110 to 100 to 90 and so on.

Are you latching in between? And are you drinking enough fluids, eating well and getting enough rest? Are you stressed? All these can affect the milk supply. From a mum that fed and pumped for both kids, all I can say is, do this breastfeeding/pumping in a way that brings you fulfilment and joy. Don’t stress out about occasional dips. Take care of yourself. It’s okay if you don’t pump in exact intervals.. give yourself a break sometimes, and enjoy your baby and enjoy motherhood:) there were sooo many times when I wasn’t producing much, and then suddenly when I held/thought of my baby, more milk came from an empty breast. You’re doing a great job! Remember to rest too:)

Hi, Can we mix or combine the parts for breast pump brands? For instance, using Medela pump while using the handsfree flanges from other brand. TIA

Hi mommas, Im 8days PP. It started off with both sides nipple cracked n engorgement. But after awhile i kept latching n pumping, one side gets better while the other side... Slow milk flow and clogged ducts. I already massaged, use the hot towel method and even drank lecithin. When baby latches , no milk comes out i guess cos of the way baby fussed. I even asked my postpartum massage aunty to help massage and it does help relieve the engorgement. Alot of milk came out btw. Funny, when baby latches, nothing comes out. I worry if only one side of my breast is able to produce milk and the other cannot at all. What should i do? I worry..

Period when exclusively breastfeeding

My son just turned 2 months and I'm about 9 weeks pp and I exclusively breastfeed him (aside from 2 weeks when he was in the NICU/Special care where I was exclusively pumping since he was born at 33 weeks). Is it normal for my period to come back so quickly? I nurse him for all his feeds and I am with him 24/7. I thought breastfeeding was supposed to delay our period? #firstbaby #advicepls #pleasehelp

Not everyone period will delay! My period back to normal 2 months pp also! It’s normal!

Help with night feeds

I’m a new mum and me and my husband are handling baby’s night sleep together. There’s a couple of questions which i would like to ask… 1) when its time for feed and baby is still sleeping, do you wait for baby to wake or just wake baby up for the feed? 2) baby doesn’t like to latch and is drinking every 3 hours. Managing my 3 hourly pump at the same time while preparing for baby’s bottle feeding is stressful. What should i do to better manage this? 3) when does the feeding interval increases? From 3 hourly to longer? #1stimemom #advicepls #nightfeed

1. Baby are v clever! They will wake up and cry for milk when they want! 2. You just pump even when baby is sleeping 3. It’s up to baby! A lot of FTM will follow schedule but after that you’ll realise it’s useless cause baby are unpredictable! Just follow your baby’s cue! I’m a FTM and I never ever had a schedule I’m not pumping! Full on latching! My baby want milk I just latch dont want them dont want! All I do is watch out for baby’s cue!

How to increase milk supply?

Hi mummies, any tips of rebuilding milk supply? (apart from letting baby latch).
