Hi, I'm already 6 months post partum, and my milk supply is dwindling as I sometimes slip pumps. Is it still possible to increase my supply again if I am more diligent?

Should I stop pumping?

Hi wanna seek some opinions on breastfeeding. Currently my girl is 18 months and she has been exclusively drinking only bm so far. Recently she suddenly decide that she doesn't want todrink expressed bm anymore when I'm at work but she still is eager when I latch her. I tried to use the ebm to make chocolate milk w honey for her but she still doesn't want. So no choice give her fresh cow milk which she takes very well. Should I stop pumping at work since she doesn't take ebm anymore? I am apprehensive of my milk supply dropping especially as I still want to have enuf supply during the weekend to latch her. But I see the packets n bottles of ebm lying there I feel very stressed because I will feel that it's very wasted to just dump. Opinions on whether should I stop pumping altogether?

Which brand of cooler bag do u all use when transporting EBM and storing your breast pump?

Which size of the fridge-to-go cooler bag is recommended? Mini or Victoria?

Think it depends on two factors - how Ng has milk You have to transport and how much weight/size of bag you can carry. Also at $99 the Victoria fridge to go is expensive!

hi jus to check if it's normal for cooler bag to be abit wet when I bring it out with small ice pack and contour ice pack in it. I'm currently using autumnz cooler bag fr qoo10 and the fabric is abit wet when I brought it out.

I think it should be okay if it gets a little wet- make sure to put it into the freezer right away when you get home if you havnt used it already

Helping my friend to ask.. She just give birth recently.. Bb is ok to latch during her stay at hospital but when she is back home, her bb dun seems want to latch n keep crying.. Her bb jaundice level went up.. Any advice for her to continue breast feed cause she is depressed that her bb not latching and her supply is getting lesser..

Not all babies know how to latch. She can consider expressing / pumping to stimulate. If jaundice level is going up, she can consider doing mix feeding of FM too. Fed is best, ask her not to pressure herself too much as stress will also affect milk production.

Hi there so sorry cant really recommend clinics in the west. Most lactation consultants are based in KKH, Mt A, or TMC. You can try calling TMC to get a lactation consultant to visit you at your home. Here's the number to call. 6251 4090. Alternatively try to use home remedies in the time being.

Hi, anyone has problems with breastfeeding because of having large nipples?

I haven't but my friend went through this and she used a breast pump before feeding and it helped. Between that and her lactation consultant everything was fine in a couple of weeks.

hi Mummies, need some advice here. my LO is 14months old. she has been direct latching from birth till 10months old. after that i started working and my mil try to feed her expressed milk in the day. she rejected it and only eat solids and drink plain water till she is about 1year old. direct latch in d night and throughout the night and wkends. she started to accept expressed milk after 1yr old, added into cereal and drinking the most 50ml in d day. still direct latch at night n wkends. i have gone through cracked nipples, blisters etc but recently it is worse. the teeth at the back are all growing and whenever she latches, it sort of grinds on d aereolas. now experiencing open wounds on the aereolas and alot of pain. but still clenching my own teeth and latching her. ? as a result, there is no chance for them to recover. i have been thinking if i should wean her off latching? how can i do it considering she takes comfort in latching throughout the night. i am quite half hearted about weaning her off. but the pain is getting unbearable and i am quite sad that i am unable to feed her with ease. what should i do? right now, she also tried formula milk and drinks about 100ml in d day. but it depends on her mood. sometimes she rejects fm. ebm supply has also dipped drastically. ?

Oh dear. I would suggest weaning her completely (expecting the goddess of breastfeeding to strike me with lightning now...). I mean, if it's so painful that you can't recover anymore, I think it's time to stop direct latching. Or at least take a break from it. Or have you considered using a nipple shield? Just until you've recovered. But I've never used one so I don't know how that will affect your supply or your toddler (that is, if she latches on to it in the first place!).
