Hi mamas! Pls recommend me some breastfeeding supplements. I know many of you consume prenatal ones but I don’t want to travel all the way to my gynae just to get them. Would prefer brands that I can get over the counter like Watsons/ guardian or unity.

Hi FTM, I am planning to stop breast milk after 1 month. Most people said need minimum 6 months. But I feel so depress to pump every 3 hours and feeling so tired . I cant have enough sleep. Anyone experiencing this kind of feeling? After giving birth I keep crying as well literally everyday. I feel so overwhelmed, sad, and dont know how to take care my baby after my Confinement end.#advicepls #firsttimemom #FTM

you have to take it slow my dear, you cant rush being a mum. if there isnt enough milk, turn to formula milk, if you dont wish to, dont force yourself, but you will get engorgement, if u don't pump it out. Just rmb you are the best!

Mummies! does breast-feeding affects our calcium intake? I'm not sure if it's just me but I'm feeling my joints are aching a lot even if I do minimal work. should I take calcium supplements? been drinking anlene too haha

Lump inside nipple

I’m currently breastfeeding and abt a month ago i realized there is a lump inside the area between nipple and areola. It feels pain when breastfeed or pumping. Anybody has similar experience before?

you probably got a clog duct. Just massage slowly will help to clear ....

Electric breast pump recommendation

Im a first time mom-to-be and even after reading review etc im still clueless which breast pump to get. Can mommies recommend a good electric breast pump? 1. Normal electric breast pump 2. Wearable (cup) electric breast pump for outdoor/office - preferably the one that is less noise Ive heard about spectra, baby express, imani, real bubee but still not sure which is the best as all have mixed reviews too #firsttimemom #PleaseAdvice

TMC Pharmacy Flanges

Does TMC pharmacy / shop sell spectra flanges? Do I have to buy a few different sized flanges to bring to hospital? But that’s gonna be wasteful if I buy the ones that don’t fit

No the lactation consultant will come and visit you after delivery and teach you how to lactate, latch and pump. Make your request known that you’d like to know your nipple size and the right flange size to get. They will advise you accordingly for free

Hi mummies, Would you move to a role for better development in terms of covering a wider scope of job nature with a slight pay cut, slighter lesser leaves by 3 days, however the company have more flexibility and encouraged work life balance. Or would you stay in a job just because you are comfortable, however working 30min more, but job is not fulfilling and mundane. And work life balance is not definite as its numbers driven? Please advise. Thank you.

Wean breastfeeding

My girl is turning 2 soon and I intend to wean her by the end of this month. She is very attached to me and she only wants to latch directly. She refused fm and bottles. Is there any ways to let her take a bottle?

Less milk pumped with Pigeon breast pump

Hi Mummies, I am currently using Pigeon breast pump and I feel that this pump doesn’t fully empty my breasts For example, with pump I can pump 60 ml but after that when I handexpress, I can get 40 ml more out. Anybody else faced this with Pigeon breast pump? Hand express is tedious to do every time hence looking for a better breast pump. Any other brand to recommend? #firsttimemom #PleaseAdvice

I think it really depends on how well the pump fits and suits your body, because some mums do find that certain pumps just don't work as well for them even if the brand is popular. It might be worth trying Spectra or Medela, as many mums here seem to get better output and emptying with those compared to Pigeon. I'm a Medela mum myself. The flange size also makes a big difference in how well the pump empties you, so it is worth checking if you are using the right size before switching brands. That said, if you are consistently feeling engorged or uncomfortable after pumping, it might be good to check with a lactation consultant, as they can help you troubleshoot whether it is the pump, the fit, or your letdown.

Hi mummies, how often do you change your breast pads? I usually wear mine the entire day, not sure if it’s hygienic? I have friends that change out once every 2 days too.
