Less milk pumped with Pigeon breast pump

Hi Mummies,I am currently using Pigeon breast pump and I feel that this pump doesn’t fully empty my breastsFor example, with pump I can pump 60 ml but after that when I handexpress, I can get 40 ml more out. Anybody else faced this with Pigeon breast pump? Hand express is tedious to do every time hence looking for a better breast pump. Any other brand to recommend? #firsttimemom #PleaseAdvice

I think it really depends on how well the pump fits and suits your body, because some mums do find that certain pumps just don't work as well for them even if the brand is popular. It might be worth trying Spectra or Medela, as many mums here seem to get better output and emptying with those compared to Pigeon. I'm a Medela mum myself. The flange size also makes a big difference in how well the pump empties you, so it is worth checking if you are using the right size before switching brands. That said, if you are consistently feeling engorged or uncomfortable after pumping, it might be good to check with a lactation consultant, as they can help you troubleshoot whether it is the pump, the fit, or your letdown.
