Oscar or NIPT test

Need to choose between Oscar or NIPT test and I’m not sure which is the choice that most people go for

Depending on age, condition, complications, budget etc. For mine, I was 24 when I was pregnant, no complications or abnormalities from scans so gynae said can just go for OSCAR.

Metallic Taste in mouth

Hello! I’m having this metallic taste in my mouth that doesn’t go away, no matter what I eat everything just tastes yucky even plain water taste yucky. Is anyone experiencing this too?

Yes it’s normal! I am feeling the same too :( I don’t usually drink sweetened drinks but I do now because I can’t stand the taste of water

any mummy never do breastfeed or not plan to do?

i know its a guilty question to ask. But breastfeed really made me very bad at mood and pressure coz even i spend thousand dollars for massage and supplement, i cpuld not get enough milk each time for my baby's single meal. Plus i bk to work after 2nd month and dont have regular schedule for pumping also need plenty of time in night. Now i m pregnant with 2nd child, but i have been thinking tgis round no breastfeed at all, straightforward to formula. Feel a bit guilty but still think this is better for me especially i need back to work as early as i can and i m above 40 years old already. :( want to hear some opinions from other mummies..

Its not and it shouldn’t be a guilty question. Whether or not to breastfeed is totally up to you, do remember that no one has the right to judge you for not bf-ing. Formula or bm, end of the day, they still eat McDonald’s, will still fall sick regardless. Bm is not invincible as thou bm can prevent all sickness, no. Go full formula if it helps with your sanity and wellbeing, especially when you need to juggle two kids and work, you will be drained out. Formula feeding does not make you any lesser than bf-ing mummies.

Feeling breathless

Hello mommies! I’m currently 5-6 weeks pregnant. This is my 2nd pregnancy. Lately, i’ve been having chest pain on my left side. Is this related to pregnancy? Is there any other mommies who experienced this too? Would love to hear your experience. #adviceplease

Have you recently weaned off bm from #1? I felt the left side chest pain when I was travelling last week. I thought it was because my #1 got weaned off from bm. It got better when my morning sickness kicked off.

Fried carrot cake

Isit ok to eat fried carrot cake or the square carrot cake due to radish? Im in first trimster now

Yes! I’ve had lots of fried carrot cake during pregnancy too. Not too sure why cannot eat radish tho😅.

Not a question. Just want to voice out. I miscarriage today.

Hi mummies, I'm supposed to be in my 6w going 7w. Over the weekend, I started to bleed on Sat night. I hurried over to KKH and did my first scan. For the first time, I saw my embryo sac. Sunday came, the bleeding didn't stop. This morning, I visited the polyclinic to get a referral letter, the doctor didn't do much. And told me if im still pregnant, i should still get the pregnancy symptoms like nausea and vomitting. When I was home, I felt a strong cramp when went to pee. As I wipe myself, I saw a dark red clot with some white mucus. At this point, I was scared. I made an appt with a gynae. At noon, I did another ultrasound, this time, my womb is empty. The doctor checked twice and I showed him the clot pic. He confirmed I had a complete abortion. This is my first pregnancy. :(

i also miscarried at 7 weeks last year and it was such an emotionally draining experience. i'm so sorry for your loss. be kind to yourself during this time ❤️

Pre-eclampsia test info

Hi, did any of your gynae ask u to do the pre-eclampsia test? Is this a one-time test for the entire pregnancy and is it necessary? Thanks.

Vomit that it can empty out my stomach in secs

7weeks & 3days, here starts my morning sickness🤢 And I've been so sick pass 5days. Jus fever, flu, cough, phglem, you name it. Apparently immunity is compromised thru out pregnancy so that our body doesn't hurt our child thinkin to be foreign species. Doesn't that mean thru out pregnancy goin to be unwell ? I can hardly do anything so sick

Hi hi, according to my gynae, morning sickness is good means that your baby is striving. You can get your gynae to prescribe Anti-nausea medication for you and perhaps check on the other illnesses you are experiencing.

Sharing my sweet pain story haha

Hi & congratulations to all our pregnant ladies ! This is my 1st pregnancy aft almost 1yr of trying. With help of ovulation induction, I got pregnant, thou I do get regular menses. My pregnancy came as a shock for me. I am blessed 5wks pregnant. One night I had really bad stomach pain. Pinchin & cramps all over my abdomen & I still had abt 1wk left for next menses cycle to begin. Out of fear I deicided to do pregnancy test with zero hope as I am use to seein only negative. My miracle baby show up as faint positive one week before my next cycle. Couldn't believe went to Dr to confirm & he said it showing early pregnancy & I am pregnant. However don't get happy coz it has show up too soon, anything can happen. Now, I have missed my menses by 2days & showing more evident pregnancy positive in my hcg strip. But oddly, I am feelin very bad pain on & off. I can walk endure for sure, but it's painful. Pain scale slightly higher then to my regular period cramps. Apart frm sharing I would like to know if anyone else is facing this kinda pain ? Dr say to look out for sign of ectopic pregnancy but seem like high likely not. Anyone ? Such pain ?
