Starting solids

Just started feeding my little one 1 month ago. When should I start 2 meals a day..

milk is still the main source of nutrients for LO below 1. but if your LO is enjoying solids, can consider one meal solid and in between milk feed, fruit pureen for snack?

Nipple Confused!

Hi! I believe my 26 days old is now nipple confused! 😭 I have been switching between breastfeeding and bottle feeding and recently I’ve realized that he latches a lot less and gets cranky cause it’s getting harder to latch on. Circumcision for my 4-month old

Hi! Any recommendations on which clinic/hospital to circumcise my 4-month old? I’d also like to know how much is the cost and if we can pay using CDA. Thanks mamas!

Hi Natasha! Great that you're planning ahead for this. For a 4-month old, the good news is that circumcision can be done safely under local anaesthesia using a plastibell device for babies below 4 months old, but at 4 months your paed will advise on the best timing and approach for your baby specifically. On the CDA question, yes it is claimable! The costs are fully payable via CDA and also claimable from Medisave up to $1,250 for a day surgery procedure. For clinics, many mummies go through KKH or NUH for infant circumcision as they have dedicated paediatric surgical teams. Private options like Paediatric Surgery and Urology International are also popular and CDA-claimable. Always best to get a referral from your paed first so they can assess your baby and recommend the right timing and method. Hope it goes smoothly for your little one!

Hi mummies! My 3wk old newborn on formula milk hasn't poop for 2days so far. Is this a concern? Howany times in a day does a newborn on formula milk has to poop? I have stop breastfeeding for him recently due to engorged. Now he doesn't know how to latch again hence he is fully on formula. I'm a lil bit upset as it has affected him Abit. He seems bloated at times we had to play ard with 60/90ml cause we couldn't figure out of he is hungry or gassy at times.

Has anyone had gassy baby using Grow formula? My cousin and I delivered our baby 1 day apart at the same hospital and both of us using the same milk and both our babies seems to have gas/colic problem

Is it NUH? My friend’s baby was given grow formula after her delivery too and she has changed to Nestle NAN supreme pro HA.

Hi mummies, been wondering how do you cope with pelvic and back pain while working? I understand its hard to get HL when you’re with subsidies with kkh. I have put on pregnancy belt too but it does not work. So stressful

Try to sit upright as much as you can :) take regular breaks to get water or go to the loo every 45 min! If you’re desk bound, stretch out your feet while sitting down and flex your ankles
