August mummies - anyone giving birth yet?

Hi mummies - anyone giving birth yet? Share your experience please and what makes u go ahead with natural or c sect delivery? I am currently 38 weeks 3 days. Initially i wanted to go for natural but seems like i wont be ready for the pain haha so now dilemma if i should do c sect.. even had dream about it😢 in my dream i was in bloody red room while they cut my down there. So scary😡 My gynae is dr adrian w , he leaves it to me whether i wanna do natural or c sect but i have to decide by tml if i wanna do c sect😱😱 I hv been experiencing tighten belly sometimes with back pain and pressure in pelvic for past few days and it is very uncomfortable- likely braxton hicks or maybe early labour idk

go natural If you can, cheaper and easier to heal.

Can you wash your hair during confinement?

My mil said cannot but I cannot bear with the itchy scalp and greasiness already 😭#advicepls

Ya can. Shower use warm water and use hair dryer once u out of toilet

Cesarean at mount Elizabeth orchard

I'm going for cesarean in 2 weeks time but I am very nervous about it.I dun know what is expect.e.g.will the nurse insert the urine bag before sending to operating theatre. Will I have skin time with newborn straight after op or only after I send back to general ward.If baby goes to NICU,will I be able to ask the nurse to send the baby to my room for awhile then send back to NICU?

I've 2 csec at MountE orchard😊( 2019 and 2021) nurse will insert urine bag after csec before sending you back to war's yes, u will have skin time with baby after they check n clean up baby at ops theatre nurse will bring baby to you during feeding time.

Hi mummies! I need some advice on the estimated total bill charges for mums who gave birth at Mount E hospital with C-section and opted for 2 Bedder. Want to know how much to expect before delivering! 🙏

I would like to check on charges for TMC, both normal & c-sect. Likely taking 2 bedder also

Baby girl Head circumference at 29.1cm at 37weeks 6days

Hi all, can I check baby girl head circumference at 29.1cm at week 37 day 6 is it consider too small? Was asked to induce in another 5days time, is there anything that could help baby grow in short period of 5days. Has gdm tho.#pleasehelp #advicepls

Wondering if it’s small why there is need to induce?

i never liked being the center of attention and is totally fine if people ask me about baby instead... unfortunately, my circle of friends always ask about me, to which i usually end up complaining coz pregnancy is no walk in the park for me. Hence i would rather they talk about baby and not focus on me and my negative thoughts.

Hi can one do eyebrow embroidery after birth while breastfeeding?

Hi, fellow mummies! FTM here.. I'm currently 38 weeks and considering membrane sweep.. it was mentioned during my previous gynae checkup. So just wondering if any of you here ever went through with this procedure and is it recommended? Also, I'm having this irrational fear that my baby doesn't want to come out.. 😅 because I've yet to see any dislodge of mucus plug or bloody show or any major signs of labour. Just a lot of pooping time, "menses cramp" feeling and sore back. Is having a "bloody show" a right of passage for Labour or not always? Thank you to any of you for answering my worries.

Mummy i am having the same symptoms as u and we are on same week! Gynae never offer me membrane sweep, let me know how it goes for you! :)
