Any experience with Dr Wang Wanxuan from KKH?

Hello. Any mummies here have experience with gynae Dr Wang Wanxuan from KKH? TIA!

I’d love to hear reviews on Dr Wang Wanxuan on her delivery skills as well. Would be great if we could hear from those who was with her🥹 She has been a really patient, empathetic and reassuring gynae with me while I was with her at the Reproductive Medicine clinic but I am not able to find reviews about her delivery.

Fell sick possibly Covid

I have a sore throat and fever and I know I was visited by someone who has just recovered from Covid. Right now testing negative for Covid and influenza but I’m only 7 weeks and worried. I was only given Panadol to take Anyone else fell sick with Covid during early pregnancy and it all turned out fine?

I did! I was 8weeks pregnant & I had fever sore throat & flu symptoms and I straight went to OB Urgent Care and i tested positive for Covid. They gave me meds cough/flu/fever meds that is safe for pregnancy.. & baby turn out to be fine 🙏🏻

Having weird taste with multivitamins ganilia

Hi mummies, wanted to ask if anyone has the same experience as i do. Each time I take ganilia, i have this metallic taste in my mouth that is very disturbing. It caused me to lose my appetite at times and feel nauseated. Does anyone have a similar experience? How do you overcome this?

I've heard similar complaints from friends about the metallic taste with certain multivitamins, and it's actually quite common. Try taking it right after a meal or with a strong-flavoured drink like orange juice to mask the taste, and some mums find taking it at night instead of morning helps because you're less likely to notice it. If the nausea gets worse or you can't manage it even with these tricks, might be worth checking with your PD or asking the pharmacist if there's an alternative brand that sits better with you, since you do need the vitamins especially if you're pregnant or breastfeeding.

Bleeding at 13 weeks

Hi everyone, I noticed a little bit of blood in the toilet bowl, and I can also see some blood when I wipe. It’s only a small amount. I’m currently 13 weeks pregnant with my first baby. Has anyone experienced this before? Should I be worried? Thanks in advance!

This one better not wait please go see your doctor or A&E now. Any bleeding in pregnancy needs to be checked out straightaway, especially since it's your first time and you'll feel better once a doctor has seen you and ruled things out. Sending you lots of support right now.

Anxiously waiting

I first noticed brown spotting on 6 June, which was unusual because it has never happened in any of my previous cycles. In the days that followed, I began experiencing nausea, dizziness, exhaustion, and constant hunger. At first, I didn’t think much of it and assumed my period was simply coming earlier than expected cause my cycles are kinda wonky at times. However, my period never arrived that week. As the days went by, the intensity of my symptoms continued to increase. At the same time, several people started asking whether I was expecting because they felt I looked different. That made me suspicious, so I started taking pregnancy tests. I tested three times, and all were negative. I decided to wait until my expected period date, which is tomorrow, 18 June, before testing again. Last night, after using the toilet, I noticed light pink blood dripping down, which was different from my usual bright red menstrual blood. I decided to put on a pad before going to bed and monitor the situation. This morning, I woke up to a completely clean pad with no spotting or bleeding, yet I feel more nauseated than ever. Part of me is tempted to take another test today, but I think I should wait until tomorrow. The waiting is incredibly frustrating. I do feel and look very pregnant though so I’m hoping it’s not false alarm. But you know overthinking sucks.

The brown spotting followed by light pink blood, nausea, and dizziness can definitely mean something's going on, and I get why you're feeling on edge. Honestly, if you're this anxious and your symptoms are intensifying, there's no harm in testing today instead of waiting till tomorrow, especially since you've already done three tests and they were negative. If today's test is also negative but your symptoms persist and that light pink bleeding continues, it might be worth checking in with your PD or heading to a polyclinic just to rule things out and get some answers so you're not left guessing. The waiting part is the hardest, but at least you'll know one way or another very soon.

Spotting during pregnancy

I’m 5 weeks pregnant currently doc prescribed me medication and folic acid. But I’m still spotting on day 2 of medication. Smear of light pink blood. Doc say my next check up to see baby is 2 weeks later. #askmommies I’m just lil worried is spotting ok?

For spotting or bleeding, you may ask doctor for progesterone medication to support the pregnancy. I'm taking Dydrogesterone and Baby Aspirin since my 3DPO.
