Confinement Nanny or Nah
Can I do it without a confinement nanny? I am a first time mom and a part of me would like to try our taking care of the baby, but another part of me is afraid I cannot handle it. Any mummy can share their thoughts on this? Or if you have any confinement nanny to recommend!!! My edd is 2nd Feb 2027 and it’s very close to CNY period!

I totally get that mixed feeling, it's such a big decision, especially being first time round! Honestly, I think it depends on your support system and how you're feeling post-delivery. Some mums I know managed without one because they had really hands-on partners or parents at home, but they said the first few weeks were exhausting and they wish they'd had more sleep. Others felt so much more confident having someone experienced around, especially for things like latching issues or knowing what's normal with the baby. Since your due date is so close to CNY, a confinement nanny might actually be really practical, your family will probably be busier than usual with visiting and prep, so having someone dedicated to the baby and recovery meals could take a lot of pressure off. My friend went with STAR Confinement Nanny for her first and said the experience was so reassuring because the nanny was really experienced and calm, which honestly helped her feel less panicked about every little thing the baby did. If you're leaning towards trying without one, maybe see how you feel in the first week and have a backup plan? But if budget allows, I'd say it's worth the peace of mind, especially with CNY chaos around the corner. What does your partner think?
