Nipple & tummy itchy 🥴😭

I'm 35 weeks now. It's my second pregnancy. All this while, throughout the pregnancy journey, i never experienced itchy tummy & nipple. Recently past few weeks i start to have this uncomfortable itchy. I'm not sure if this is normal for pregnant women. I have tried to use moisturiser and even use my toddler suu blam cream to soothe my itching. Does anyone have any recommendations or tips to soothe this uncomfortable itchy 😭? #itchypregnantbody #35_weeks

HL at KKH (Private)

Hi mommies! I’m 33 weeks + 6 days now and I’m so tired all the time but can’t sleep either. I dread going to work now because of travelling and I can’t sit for long hours straight. I’m on iron pills due to low blood count since I was 28 weeks and I oftentimes blackout. Do you all think if I request HL, it will be given? I heard public hospitals are not so generous in giving out HL. Please do help me out. Thank you in advance! #1stimemom #Needadvice

Hi mommies! I'm 33 weeks + 6 days now and I'm so tired all the time but can't sleep either. I dread going to work now because of travelling and I can't sit for long hours straight. Aww mama, at 33+ weeks and dealing with low blood count plus blackouts, that sounds really tough. ❤️ Honestly, nobody here can guarantee whether your doctor will give HL, but I think it's worth bringing up at your next appointment. Don't just tell them you're tired - be very specific about the blackouts, difficulty sitting for long periods, commuting challenges, and how it's affecting your daily functioning. Those are important symptoms for your doctor to assess. In my experience, doctors at public hospitals aren't necessarily "stingy" with HL. They generally base it on your medical condition and whether they feel working is affecting your health or pregnancy. If you're blacking out, that's definitely something they should know about. Please don't struggle through it in silence. If you're feeling this unwell, have an honest conversation with your OB and let them decide what's safest for you and baby. Take care, mama. The last few weeks can feel really heavy physically and emotionally💕

Small Baby

I went for my 32 weeks scan yesterday. I was told by the gynae that i met afterwards that my baby is growing below the 10th percentile. Blood flow and placenta seems ok but baby is not growing fast enough. Was advised to increase intake for protein and they target my baby to be at least 2 kg and above by the next appointment (which is in on 7th Jan). Any tips to increase?

Any recommended KKH doc for pregnancy

Eh hallo! So from what I've heard around, KKH can be quite good lah, especially if you're on a tighter budget and still want decent care. My friend gave birth there and she said the level of care was actually really solid, she was quite impressed and would go back again! the nurses were attentive and helpful, especially for first-time mums. That said, a few mummies I know had mixed feelings, one said her experience with the gynae wasn't the best, felt like the doctor was a bit rushed during consultations. So I think a lot depends on which doctor you kena lah. For KKH specifically, since it's a public hospital the docs rotate, so you might not always see the same one, that's the main thing a few of my kakis complained about, a bit ma fan lor. Maybe try to ask your GP for a specific referral to a particular doctor if you can, and also check with your friends or colleagues if any of them have a name they can recommend personally, word of mouth really the best one!
