When you're feeling down and don't feel like your usual chatty self, how do you just get away from everyone- hubby and kids inclusive? Without hurting their feelings of course.
I guess, they are your kids and husband and if you are down you can tell them frankly, this is what family is for, that we can be honest without feeling a hitch. And you can do whatever you feel relaxes you the most. Be it going to the spa, sleeping whole day, shopping, eating out with your friends, whatever. Though I am not fond of shopping but I have lived those days when I was working and at times when I used to feel stressed, I would shop for myself. And wearing new clothes, I think does some magic. You really start feeling good.
Read moreEveryone needs some me-time away to recharge. I will speak to hubby first. He can then take care of the rest while I go off. He understands me well and knows that I need time off by myself every once in a while. Not sure what works for you? For me, if I can't take a whole day off from everyone, just a couple of hours away (I usually go exercise) does the trick. :)

Agree with the mommy above, taking a day or half day off from work secretly and going off to a spa or just shopping is something I'd do haha. Shopping alone on a week day during supposed work hours is awesome!
when i want a day-off,i'm going to my parents house but with LO and then i'm letting them take care of my LO while i'am having a 2 hours sleep :)
I take leave from work without telling anyone at home and go for a day spa by myself
