Don’t hesitate to opt for epidural if the pain is unbearable. Practise breathing and relaxation techniques. It would help if you are on laughing gas. Walking around helps if you are not on epidural. As for the tear, it’s unavoidable if you are a first time mum. I didn’t push until I was told to do so but still had a very bad tear. But still, it’s better than having an emergency C-section.
I am 38weeks here. I am worry about labor pain but I keep thinking of meeting my baby. Don't want to stress myself too much until the pain/ tear or whatever obstacles come later.
You can try perineum massage or have sex with hubby to loosen the muscle to minimize the chances of getting tear. Also, drinking one tablespoon of virgin coconut oil helps :)
Ultimately you will still need to rely on epidural if you have low pain tolerance level and breathing skills learned from parentcraft class doesn’t help.
I had episiotomy so no normal tear. Minimise pain? Epidural lor. With epidural couldn’t even feel anything already.
Do lots of walking (if you can)...dun push until u r told too...
The nurses will be there to assist you. If not just opt for epidural
Epid , no pain at all . Only have to deal with aftermath pain.
Epidural...If it gets too unbearable (:
Just use Epid. U won't regret
