Elective csec subsidised patient

Any one of you is subsidised patient of nuh?? Today my appt, the gynae told me for subsidised patient, if i choose elective csec , it needs the dr approval and is not within my choice. I was quite pissed because if this is true, then they should have told me since my first appt and not now. As such, i would like to enquire is this gynae speaking factually or not? And if it is, i would like to ask any other hospital that is subsidised and the dr will not be so pro natural. Its irritating enough that i am scared of contraction pain and what not as a first time mum also the kind that will cry just becox of injection but people like them jus keep saying natural ok de la no pain. Dun worries... Everyone phobia is different i hope they can respect my phobia. Is very irritating and i feel that i am talking to walls. Also appreciate if anyone could share switching to pte from now (week 23) to delivery and warded, how much would it be? As a cheapest maybe associate consultant and also b ward. As compared to subsidised only.

NUH is a pro natural hospital. And honestly every mums are afraid of the pain even if they are an experienced mum because everyone's pain threshold is different. But again if you're going for elective c-sect you'll still be under ga so you'll feel numb unlike natural birth w/o any painkiller. I was a subsidise patient from NUH & have given birth on Feb via natural delivery. But I was hospitalised for 9 days so my bill came out to 2k+ after subsidy and my baby was in NICU & Special Care Nursery for 5 days and his bill totaled to the amt of 3k+. You can see the ward prices in NUH website. If you plan to switch to pte it depends on the cost of the pte gynae and of course diff price also for pte wards and need deposit.
