Sounded silly but how to get out of the bed safely with the baby bump?

Sounded silly but how to get out of the bed safely with the baby bump? Not sure if it's correct, but I inched to the side , bent my knees and swing it to the ground.

easier to be on the side and prop yourself up into sitting position with your arm. my bed is also high so i’ve a stool for me to step and get off the bed.
