Helper of Infant Care?

Should I employ a helper or send my 3 months old baby to an infant care? I do not receive much help from my parents. I am currently taking care of my own baby. I do not have much time to pump milk, settle my own meals and do house chores.

Hi Mummy. If you are a sahm, then getting a helper would make more sense as she will be able to help with chores and baby when needed. If you are planning to head back to work, you will then need to weigh the pros and cons for each. I can’t advise much on the helper part as my girl goes to infant care. It really depends on your comfort level. Very commonly babies that attend ifc tends to falls sick easily but that being said, I know some babies that rarely fall sick too. Just be mentally prepared that it will happen. Most importantly, find one that aligns with your values. Hope that helps! :)

You need to weigh the pros and cons before deciding. I think it would be a better choice to hire a helper if you are working. Babies tend to fall sick easily in infant care especially throughout the first few months. You will have to keep applying for leave if you are working. Employing a helper also means that you won't have to do household chores and will have an extra pairs of hands to help you in other duties.

I would prefer infant care. The teachers there will help take care baby. On top of that baby could learn and interact with others as well. If you are working mother, you could continue to work as per normal. Maybe need to express milk at office if you still breastfeeding. If you are sahm, you could do your house work or do/ learn some other home made things.

Personally I would send to infant care. The stories of how helpers can mistreat babies are horrible. At least in infant care, there are other teachers/staff around at all times. However, if you have the means, maybe can hire helper too just for house chores?

Between the 2, i would go for infant care. You can be assured of their safety and well-being as they are taken care by certified educators.

If u r not working. U can get helper to do house wk n u can look after your child. If u r working, can put infant care

Both are fine depending on your preference, however need to find a helper who is experienced and genuinely care

i am same as you, me and husband decide to get a helper (with experience in dealing newborn i/o infant care.)

Get a helper. At least you around to see yr baby growing up. Helper can help with house chores

I think having a helper is a better option as that way, you have the kid with you most of the times :)
