Protein Shakes

Is it safe to drink ISOPure protein shakes during the first trimester or at all during pregnancy? I’m vegetarian so sometimes my daily protein intake isn’t as high

Honestly, from what I've heard, ISOPure is generally considered one of the cleaner options, someone in my mum group mentioned her gynae was okay with it since it has minimal additives, and the unflavoured version is quite versatile (you can stir it into oatmeal or a smoothie without it tasting off). That said, a few mums raised the point that ISOPure doesn't publish third-party testing data on purity, so if that matters to you, something like Promix might give more peace of mind since they do share that. For vegetarians specifically, protein powder can genuinely help fill the gap, but it's still worth trying to get most of it from whole foods first, the powder is more of a top-up than a main source. Either way, do run it by your gynae or OB before starting, especially in the first trimester, just to make sure it suits your specific situation.
