Nappy rash

Hi parents. Any parents facing this problem where their baby has started IFC and developed severe looking nappy rash? I am really worried about this. All these while I’ve been taking care of my baby before going to IFC, nothing had happened like this before.

Nappy rash can be a common issue for babies, especially when they start solid foods or change in diet leading to changes in stool. It can also be caused by prolonged exposure to wet or soiled diapers, sensitive skin, or friction. Here are some solutions to help with severe nappy rash: 1. Change diapers frequently to keep the area dry and clean. 2. Use a mild, fragrance-free baby wipe or simply water and a soft cloth to clean the baby's bottom. 3. Let your baby's skin air dry before putting on a fresh diaper. 4. Apply a thick layer of a barrier cream or ointment containing zinc oxide to protect the skin. 5. Avoid using baby powder as it can irritate the skin further. 6. Ensure the diaper is not too tight, allowing for airflow. If the nappy rash persists or gets worse, it's advisable to consult a pediatrician for further evaluation and treatment. Remember that each baby is different, and what works for one may not work for another. Patience and consistency in following a proper diaper-changing routine will help in managing and preventing nappy rash. If you continue to have concerns, consider seeking advice from a healthcare professional or pediatric dermatologist for tailored advice and guidance. https://invl.io/cll6she
