Oatmeal for lunch
Is it ok for 1yo to eat oatmeal or muesli paired with fruits/ yoghurt for lunch everyday? Or is it better for 1yo to eat porridge instead? #advicepls TIA
Actually you can let LO eat veg, meat or fish on top of oats so it’s a balanced diet. Can also try mee sua, soft rice, baby pasta as other options. My LO hated porridge and will only eat oats for the longest time while she was weaning.
Porridge is definitely better. Porridge you can add in lots of ingredients to go with it and it will have alot of vitamins etc whereas oat meal with fruits only can intake certain vitamin. and also baby will get sick of it
Thanks for sharing! Will check it out!
That seems like your baby will miss out on protein though, does he eat some meat in other meals? It's important to have balanced amount of carb, protein and fat in each meal for baby.
He does eat fish during dinner. He’s still rejecting meat at 13 months now
My doctor say oatmeal not good for baby because high in fiber low in calories.
