Baby Bump Nicknames 🤰🏽

Oh this is such a fun topic! Honestly there is no right or wrong, some parents go with something sweet like "Bean" or "Nugget" based on how tiny the baby is in those early weeks, while others go full silly mode, like one mum in my group whose husband wanted to call theirs "Cletus the Fetus" and she absolutely vetoed it, so they landed on "The Passenger" instead which I thought was actually quite cute. I have also heard of parents naming based on a first ultrasound moment, like if the baby was wriggling non-stop, "Spazz" apparently stuck for the whole pregnancy! Interestingly, there is actually a Korean tradition called "taemyeong" where families give the baby a proper womb nickname even before birth, which I find quite meaningful compared to just going with something random. Either way, whether it is heartfelt or totally ridiculous, most families say the nickname ends up sticking around even after the baby is born, so choose wisely, or not at all, and just have fun with it!
