Feed baby every 3 hrs or by demand

For newborn, a week old, do you feed them strictly every 3 hours, even when theyre sleeping or just feed on demand, only when he wakes up and starts crying or showing signs of hunger ? Especially night feedings. And by on demand usually roughly how many hrs ?

by demand. i would say the first 6 months are by demand. aft baby turns at least a month old, you would be able to tell their cues and they will be able to signal their cues better.

I feed by demand. Usually baby cries for milk every 2 hourly, sometimes midnight will stretch 5-6 hours. By demand is 2-3 hourly.

Feed on demand. For 1 week old usually it every 2 hours. Sometimes it can be 1-1.5 hours if latching (cos dk how much baby drink).

depends on whether there is jaundice and if doctor advised to feed more to increase weight?

By demand. Haha. to me hungry alr will shout for food. 😂
