My baby’s appetite has slowed down – should I be worried?

It is perfectly normal for baby to eat less on certain days. Sometimes adult do have feeling of no appetite to eat too and skip meals. Same to our baby. Baby lost appetite could be due to teething, illness, tummy discomfort and overtired. Normally, for my kids it last about 3-5days. After that the appetite will resume and take in even more food. If you notice your baby's having no appetite to eat for more than a week, it is best to bring your baby to visit PD for a detailed check.
Read moreBaby usually grow fastest during their 1st 6 months and take in more food during their growth spurt. Their growth will slow down from 6 months onwards. The slow down in growth may lead to lesser food requirement. Moreover, babies may also take in lesser milk when they start taking solid food.
If your child has a sore throat, rash, fever or other symptoms it may happen. Avoid distractions at meal time and use small portions. If it still does not improve, contact your doctor.
thanks
