My partner and I speak different languages. Should we only speak to our children in our own language if we want them to be bilingual?

Children learn through listening and watching. By exposing them to different lang, they pick up faster. My hub and I speak Eng to them, pil mandarin while helper in malay so they pick up 3 lang. My children understand and can speak the lang too. So good to speak in diff lang even dialets as they are like sponge. Able to absorb and absorb.

How do you know which oils are quality when they all claim to be the best?

From my learning, pure essential oils do not have an expiry date. Read up on the company's background. Check out if the company owns their own farms and their method of distillation. If they do use pesticides in pest control etc.

My toddler's weight is stagnant at 10kg for the last 12 months, any suggestions that can bring up her weight? She is drinking well (240ml each feed) and eating well during meal times but her weight just doesn't increase.

Dun get overly worried. She will suddenly have another growth spurt and will gain weight in the process. Just make sure that she has the vitamins and fed well.

Anyone else experiencing this? Recently, my 2yo girl literally throws her body around, kicks and screams and cries with EVERY diaper change, clothing change, and getting her into her sleep sack every nap and night. Anyone else experiencing this? And any ideas how to make it easier? I've tried distractions of all kinds like toys, singing, even the TV but nothing works and she is STRONG!

Wah... Sounds almost like what my girl is doing to us. Haha... We refuse to let her have her way and switch off lights earlier. She can throw her tantrums but we will ignore her. After a while, she knows she can't win.

Can childhood myopia be prevented?

I strongly believe that myopia can be prevented by simply practising good eye habits. Simple actions like taking frequent breaks to rest the eyes when doing close-range work like reading, watching TV or using the computer will help. I, myself, wished that I did not read my books lying down when I was a kid, because that is apparently a cause of concern.
