Early Pregnancy Feels Like?

Hi mummies! What does early pregnancy feels like? Do you crave more or don’t feel like eating? Do you feel sleepy ALL THE TIME? Do you feel nausea but don’t actually vomit? Should we be eating (picking the right food) and restricting (those we should not eat)?

They always say embrace your pregnancy and you can get over anything. Its easy said than done because during the time I knew i was pregnant till now that i’m week 8, I can slowly feel the different. During the first few weeks, I really unable to focus on work. Everyday feels very lethargic even when fully rested. My nausea comes in every few hours without vomiting (i think its a blessing in disguise) and Bloating. The bloating is the one that reduces our appetite and also because our body hormones and structure are changing to prepare for the baby hence we will tend to feel what we feel. Closer to week 6-8, slowly my body got use to it nonetheless the lethargic, bloating and nausea still stays. I learn to cope with sweet and tangy type of fruits and also hydrate myself with 100 plus (zero sugar) as sometimes water can taste very heavy and metallic (if you know what i mean 🤭). Food wise not to worry you can eat most of it just that need to ensure drinks are pasteurised( for milk and fruit juice), food are well cooked, no ready cut fruits (afraid those fruits are exposed to bacteria and isn’t good for baby) and fruits to avoid (i googled this - excess amount of grapes, unripe or semi-ripe papaya and pineapple). I hope this helps and we can brave through this together 🥰

Every pregnancy is different. Of course it'll be ideal to eat only healthy foods and none of the junk foods, but in reality, many mummies find it hard to sustain such a diet when pregnant due to various reasons eg. nausea, food aversions, lack of appetite etc. Bottom line is just to eat in moderation (other than those clear nonos like shark meat and alcohol) For my 1st, I was very tired in 1st tri and needed to take short naps during lunch, but for my 2nd, I could tank through the day. I felt more nauseous for my 1st, but only food aversions for my 2nd. I kept having pimple breakouts for my 1st, but not for my 2nd. So each pregnancy is really quite different.

I’m still at my first trimester. For myself, every single food taste bad and I lose appetite.. basically on survival mode, I’ll try to eat what I can swallow, so I’m not looking at the “right food” for now.. haven’t vomit yet, but small everyday things like brushing teeth could also make me feel like gaging

I just found out i’m pregnant yesterday so i’m almost 5weeks now. Don’t have nausea but I don’t really feel like eating much either. Like I will take a few bites of food then i’m done. Also, i’ve been pooping more frequently?? Not diarrhoea but yesterday I pooped like 4 times.

I am always hungry, tired and fatigued. Sometimes nausea but I didn't vomit. I avoid raw and some pregnancy unsafe foods. Luckily due to hunger, I am able to eat just that my fatigue was worse after I finished the food. Looking forward my 2nd trimester. Currently in my 10 Weeks.

I actually had food aversions more than cravings! It was difficult to want to eat but I had to force myself haha, even small bites and sips. And absolutely, moderation is key and avoiding potentially harmful food for you and your baby is crucial

I didn't have much cravings in the first trimester for both pregnancies. Started taking ABC juice from the beginning even though I didn't like it. Completely omitted caffeine, alcohol, under cooked meats and seafood

My breast hurt, sensitive to fish smell, heightened emotions. Only time I had major fight with my hubby. Thankfully he was understanding. All this before I knew I was even pregnant

sometimes I crave more. And sometimes I don't feel like eating at all. And yes, I do feel sleepy all the time and nausea with no vomit every 30 mins eventhough I already eat😭

i feel nothing during first trimester… but i know a lot of moms who struggled to even eat food. even the appetite is very different to before they were pregnant 😂
