Csect recovery - binder ?

Hi mummies, im at day 3/4 of csect, any tips for recovery ? Just discharged and doc just changed my bandage to waterproof bandage and told me not to get it wet for the next 5 days. So scared of it cs i always wash using bidet at home. And do you use binder over your incision and to sleep? #FTM

Ur binder supposed to be on top of ur incision. Dnt cover it over. Cant get wet? My doctor told me i can shower as per normal after discharged. I know we ftm scared if anything could happen so what i did was i just took a cloth, i shower while sitting down, covered my incision and after shower i just take a plain wet cloth and go over the bandage. Its perfectly fine! Sleep time sometimes i used the binder sometimes im like whatever i need comfort.😂😂😂 More walking!!! But slowly! Im able to walk as per normal after a week! 2nd week bandage was remove and still using the binder. 3rd week then i used the full binder even cover the incision!

Just shower as per normal but not directly spray onto the bandage. Once done, Pat dry ur bandage. You can get any existing tubes you have at home and wear it under the binder otherwise ur skin will start to itch and there will be rashes due to long hours of usage. The binder should cover the incision (as that’s how my gynae / nurses) wear it for me.

No I removed my binder when I sleep. I didn’t wear it for very long, maybe a week or two cause it’s just too uncomfortable. I use bidet too, not an issue.

I never put on any waterproof bandage. I left the hospital with a pad with two loops, cushioning the wound.
