Mild hearing loss at 500Hz (ABR and ASSR)

Hi mommies, meron ba dito same case ng baby ko? Failed kasi sa hearing test yung left ear nya nung una sabi samin meron daw talagang ganon kaya nagrepeat ng hearing test after 1 month. Tapos nag repeat kmi failed pa din kaya nagpa ABR and ASSR si baby. Ang result is mild hearing loss at 500Hz then ulit daw kami pag 6 months na si baby. Ganon ba talaga? Ay, alam ko yan feeling mo kasi worried talaga kapag ganito, pero okay lang na ginawa nyong repeat tests para sure, that's the right move! Marami sa mga kaibigan ko na dumaan dito, at ang nangyari is na some babies need time pa lang for their ear canals to fully develop, especially at that age, so hindi agad obvious kung permanent ba o makakaayos lang talaga. The good news is mild lang at alam na ninyo exactly kung saan ang concern, kaya kayo ready na mag-monitor during those 6 months, just keep an eye sa babbling at responsiveness niya sa sounds, at for peace of mind talaga, I'd really suggest asking the doctor kung may developmental milestones or signs to watch for in the meantime, para you're not just waiting blindly. You're doing great by being proactive, mama!
