To vaccinate or not to vaccinate?

Hi Mommies, am in a dilemma . I am 7 months pregnant and unvaccinated due to personal reasons such as the vaccine is still new and even though all mommies who have taken the vaccine seems to be okay, I am not sure what impact this vaccine may cause 1 or 2 years down the road I am also worried how my body will react to the vaccine but the again, with the current variant which is stronger and news on how pregnant mothers are more vulnerable it makes me want to take the vaccine to protect myself and baby ive asked my doctor. she didnt encourage or discourage me she just told me it’s a personal choice and it’s up to me. wanna hear from all pregnant mommies! vaccinated or non vaccinated, why did you make that decision? thank you in advance!❤️❤️

After a long time, I decided to take the vaccine today. Because I think the risk of me getting covid and affecting the baby is more than the vaccine affecting the baby. I got assurance from my Gynae that the vaccine will not pass through the placenta to the baby only antibodies will. With Singapore opening up and the more contagious delta variant, everyone around me is fully vaccinated and they can still be carriers of the virus to me. Weighing the pros and cons, during delivery I will be exposed to a lot of people in and out of the suite. And my original plan of vaccinating after confinement. I’m worried that my body might be weaker and any side effects I am worried I can’t handle especially with a new born around. So thought that now is the better time to take it. Either way it’s a risk! So it’s just to weigh which risk we are willing to take. And don’t feel pressured it’s all a personal choice and you must be comfortable with your decision :)

Hello. My gynae advise me to wait until I give birth because she said don’t wanna risk it. But I do have a lot of friends who’s pregnant and taken vaccine and their baby turn out ok. So ultimately it’s your decision. I choose to wait because I trust my gynae and I will take her advise. I stay home as much as possible to prevent myself and my family from covid. You’re almost there already! If I were you I will choose to take the vaccine after I give birth. Be safe!

do u mind to share which gynae did u go to? my gynae is a private one and he was told by m o h that he cant see unvax patients due to the restrictions.

nobody knows the effect of maggi noodles on the baby long term yet many mummies are still consuming it during pregnancy.. the sodium levels is actually quite dangerous for bb’s development! for me, the consequences of getting covid and potentially losing the pregnancy is worse than the vaccine risks. moreover the vaccine is processed by your body, and only antibodies are passed to fetus (according to current research only).

I have seek different doctors opinions on the vaccination and was told to wait till I give birth first. I personally feel that this is too risky for me to go for it since the professionals had told me to wait. but also given that I do not need to travel to work and my husband does not allow me to take a single public transport. I tried to minimise contacts with others too.
