High TSH level

Hi Mommies! Ask ko lang baka may same din sa inyo na mataas ang TSH level sa 1st trimester? 7.58 kasi yung akin and as per my new OB normal lang daw po tumaas yun. Mejo nag worry lang ako kasi sa dati kong OB worry niya yun na tumaas TSH level ko since may auto immune ako and that time normal naman kaya okay lang. Nag change OB na po kasi ako since lumipat na kami tirahan. Thank you mommies!#advicepls

Hi mama! I totally get the worry, lalo na may autoimmune condition ka, I have a friend with the same thing and she was anxious din sa first trimester when her levels started going up. Since your old OB was concerned before but your levels were okay then, and now your new OB is saying it's normal for TSH to rise in pregnancy, I think it's worth getting a second opinion or asking your new OB to explain more about what "normal" means for your specific situation, especially with your autoimmune history, better safe than sorry talaga, diba? Maybe request for regular monitoring lang para ma-track mo how it goes, kasi pregnancy and thyroid can be tricky together. Fingers crossed it's really just the pregnancy hormones doing their thing, mama!
