The pros is that you get to experience every single milestones of your baby. You get to sleep when baby sleeps (in the eyes of others, you get to sleep all you want).
The cons…
People around you might think you have nothing to do at home, just shake leg take care of baby very easy, overtime your husband might even have the same thinking because he is the one bringing bread home. You might get looked down on the moment you depleted all your personal savings and starts asking money for household stuffs. You don’t get the rights to complain that you’re tired. And they will blame you that it’s your choice to be a SAHM.
Same thing while you get to experience all your baby’s milestones, you get to experience all their meltdowns, their worse sides which no one will understand because baby doesn’t do that to them. And it will get worse when you have no help at all and everything falls on you. SAHM have no off days, no break times, because you’re the one at home, if baby is sick or even yourself, you’re expected to be the one taking care because the husband is tired from work.
Above is my rant as a SAHM of 3 years.
