Is it true that if you cut baby's eyelashes, they will grow longer and thicker? Has anyone tried this?

I've heard of this myth but personally don't believe it. #1 you are cutting too close to baby's eyes. What if baby suddenly jerks? Is longer lashes much more important than risking blindness? #2 Does your hair grow at a much faster pace than before if you cut it? Same theory applies.

I don't buy it. Eyelashes are there for a reason, to protect the eyes. Trimming them too short may cause irritation to the baby and make the eyelashes lose its function. https://www.consumerhealthdigest.com/eyelash-care/does-trimming-make-eyelashes-grow-longer.html

A baby's lashes are as genetically passed down as hair color and curlyness. Thus, it won't help it to grow longer even if you trim it.

thanks
