Is it good to let my baby watch Baby Einstein DVDs? He's 6 months old.

It is unlikely that it will have any beneficial impact or advantage on their educational development. It is believed that the content of any tv programme hardly matters to a baby under one-year old. That being said, you could use it (in moderation) as a quick distraction for your child if you needed a short break (e.g., taking a quick shower). As long as such educational DVDs are not being used as replacement for playtime or to act as a nanny/babysitter, it is unlikely that there will be any permanent harm done to your child. I wouldn't recommend letting babies watch TV, even though they are educational programs. Studies have shown that babies exposed to television (~1 or 2 hours per day) before the age of 2 consistently perform worse than their peers in language and motor skills tests.
