Duration from cervix softening to actual labour

Hi, I'm 36w3d when my gynae did a cervix check. She mentioned that the cervix is softening. I'm curious to know how long did it take from knowing that the cervix has softened to actual labour?

It depends on individual so anytime soon then, you just have to wait for signs of birth like waterbag burst, mucus plug, mild to extreme contractions. Cervix softening will then soon dilate meaning baby's ready to pass through birth canal.
