Feedback on HIPP organic infant formula milk ?

Hi Mummies, Has anyone tried HIPP organic infant formula milk ? Any feedback on this ? #advicepls

A few of us in my mum group have tried HiPP Organic and the feedback has been mostly positive, the big things people noticed were no spit-up or gas issues, and it mixes really smoothly without clumping or that weird foamy texture some formulas have. It's also free from artificial sweeteners and GMOs, which was a big draw for mums who are particular about ingredients. One of my mum friends mentioned her toddler had zero tummy problems on it and she's been recommending it to everyone with kids in the 1, 3 age range. The only thing to note is that it can be a bit harder to find in regular supermarkets here, so you may need to look around a little, but those who've stuck with it seem really happy overall!

IUD or tubal ligation

Anyone did IUD or tubal ligation? Which is more recommended? If IUD any complication?

Wah, this is such a common question among us mums! A few of us in my circle have gone through both options, and honestly the consensus is that IUD is less scary to start with since it's reversible and the procedure is much simpler, though some mums did mention cramping and spotting for the first few months, especially with the copper one. For tubal ligation, my friend went to a gynaecologist at a restructured hospital and said the recovery was smoother than she expected, but her doctor did flag that long-term postoperative safety is something to think through carefully, so it's not a decision to rush. Most doctors here also tend to be more cautious about recommending permanent sterilisation if you're under 30, so that's worth bearing in mind when you consult. The good news is that tubal ligation these days doesn't actually mess with your hormones or cycle, so that's one less worry, but as with any surgery, there are still rare complications possible. I'd say book a proper consult with your gynae and lay out all your concerns, because the right choice really depends on whether you want something permanent or prefer to keep options open.

Any good pediatrician recommend in west area?

Hi can recommend any gd PD in bt panjang or choa chu kang area?.

Hey there! A few of us in the west have been on the same hunt, and honestly it can be quite tough to find a good PD you really click with long-term. Someone in my mum group mentioned Dr Ho at Baby and Child Clinic, though that one is over in Tampines, a couple of mums actually made the trip because they felt he was worth it. For the Bukit Panjang and Choa Chu Kang area specifically, the main thing most of us look for is a PD who is willing to follow your child's growth over the years rather than just a one-off visit, so it might be worth asking the clinic upfront if they encourage continuity with the same doctor. Hope you find a good fit soon, once you find the right one, it really makes such a difference!

Hi mummies ! I just want to check. According to my doc and their calculations, I’m currently at 36w with an AFI of 6.7cm. But according to my calculations I’m at 37w4d. Scheduled to induce on 15/03. Should I be worried about my AFI ?

Oh don't worry too much, mama! From what I understand, normal AFI range is around 5, 25cm at this stage, so 6.7cm is technically still within normal, just on the lower end, a few of us in my mum circle have been in similar "borderline" territory near full term and went on to have perfectly fine deliveries. My friend actually had her AFI fluctuate between 5.3cm and 8.7cm across several weeks in her third trimester, and she said her doctor just monitored her more closely and everything turned out well in the end. Since you're already scheduled for induction on 15 March, your doctor is clearly keeping a close eye, which is really the most important thing at this point. That said, do bring up your own gestational age calculation with your OB too, because that week or so difference could matter for how they interpret the reading, better to have that conversation openly with your doctor or specialist who knows your full case!

Maternity leave qn. Any teachers?

Hi any MOE teachers? I would like to check if the June working week (29 may to 1 June) is considered non-working day or not. Thanks!

Oh this is a good question! From what a few of us have gathered from teachers in our circle, the June "working week" (that last week of May into early June) is technically considered a school term week, not a school holiday, so it would count as working days, not non-working days. This matters for maternity leave calculations because if it falls within a working week, it does get counted toward your maternity leave days rather than being "free" time. One of my mum friends who is an MOE teacher mentioned that the school holidays themselves don't count toward the 28 weeks of maternity leave, but that specific working week before the holidays officially start is a different story, best to confirm directly with your school's HR or admin just to be sure, since individual schools may handle the paperwork slightly differently!

Pag tatae ng 2 months old

At 2 months old, frequent or loose stools can actually be quite normal especially if your baby is breastfed, since breast milk is easily digested. A few of us mums went through this phase and it was fine, but I would still bring your little one to the PD just to be safe and to make sure everything is okay.

Any reviews on Dr Arundhati at NUH?

First time mummy here and just converted to private at 33 weeks. Will be seeing Dr Arundhati soon. Would love to know more about anyone’s experience with her if any? And also the average cost per visit? TIA!

A few of us in my mum circle have seen Dr Arundhati Gosavi and the feedback has honestly been really positive, she's described as very caring and empathetic, especially good if you're going through a more complicated pregnancy, which sounds like it could be reassuring for you switching over at 33 weeks. One mum friend who had a planned C-section with her said the whole experience was smooth and she felt well looked after throughout. The main thing people flag is that private gynae at NUH isn't cheap, visits can add up, so it's worth checking the fees upfront when you go for your first appointment so there are no surprises.

Tips for 2 under 3 kids gg out with 1 parent only

Hi as the title says it. Any survival tips for mumies with 2 under 3 y/o? In general and also when gg out with me being the only parent. My first is 2 years 3 months and 2nd is 1 month old. Begore I gave birth to my 2nd baby, I always bring my 1st daughter out swimming/etc just gor fresh air cos being home too ling can be stressful for both of us esp my hyperactive toddler. But Im nervous bringing 2 kids out especially since my 2nd baby is exclusive breastfed by latch. My first baby I exclusive pump for 6 months and soon swap to formula after that. Any mumies advice would be appreciated. Keep in mind my girst chikd is a extra hyperactive outdoorsy kid who has also started her terrible twos😅

Heyy, honestly just get a good carrier for baby so ur hands free to chase ur toddler around la. For BF just bring a nursing cover and plan ur route around malls with nursing rooms! Also pack snacks for the toddler so she stay calm when u need to latch lol. Start with shorter trips first dun stress urself, baby is only 1 mth so take it slow. U got this 💪

Prof Su li lin NUH

Anyone has experience with Prof Su Li Lin from NUH? I just had my first appointment with her. I personally feel that she’s very rushed but i’m not too sure if its just that day where she has a lot in her hands or she’s generally like that.. #firstbaby

BAD Experience. Su Lin Lin uses interns to do the stitch. Leave big and ugly scare. We will never go for Su Lin lin and NUH again.

Does anyone have this?

I am so sad. My protein in urine might be more than normal during pregnancy and they say i might have some kidney issues. I hope it might just be kidney stones after scanning. If it is kidney disease, idw to be on dialysis in future or at old age.

Hi how are u now , and ur health Did u check yr kidney again??
