glucose tolerance test is draw blood or poke small hole on finger to test?

I can't imagine having to draw tubes of blood within 2 hours. One before drinking glucose and one hour after drinking.

3 times! Not poke finger but usual blood draw on our veins using needles. Before drinking, 1 hr after drinking, 2hrs before drinking.
