Glucose test

Hi mummies, how was ur glucose test done? I was told I need to fast from midnight, take my fasting blood glucose, drink a sweet drink, and test blood again after 2 hours. Curious to know if this is the standard?

Yes. Drink the glucose drink (super duper sweet!). Mine was a very cold one and I was really thirsty so I gulped down in less than 5 minutes. You have to drink it depends, some in 5 mins, some in 10 mins. Then 2 hrs later take blood. Then take another blood an hr later. So you'll be spending about 3 hrs there. No eating at all but only sips of plain water. You may feel faint, if that happens do let them know ok. If you fail the test, have to re-do.

fast from 12am. went to hospital in the morning. get blood test done. drink this bottle of sugar liquid in 5mins (yucks). took blood test 1hr after and 2 hrs after. done.
