Gender Disappointment

I did NIPT and know that my baby is a boy. I’ve been hoping for a girl all my life and I couldn’t help but to feel very sad. I felt like I did not do my best to conceive a girl and disappoint myself. I can’t imagine myself with a boy. Is there anybody who has been through this same issue and is there anyway to make oneself feel better? Update: My boy is 4 months old already! It’s been a wonderful journey for us. The gender doesn’t matter anymore as he’s the most beautiful angel I’m blessed with. He’s so adorable and always bringing a smile to everyone he meets. To moms who are having gender disappointment.. it takes time to accept the fact but I assure you that it’ll be the best feeling when you finally meet your baby. 😘

Both my husb n I prefer a girl too but end up we had a boy.. be it girl/boy, is our child.. After seeing our little baby, we just love him so much..

Aiyo. Its not ur fault. Gender depends on the sperm so maybe blame your husb instead and hopefully, that makes u feel better.

i feel you. i wanted a girl so much, but a gift from god, i cannot reject. i hope the baby is healthy and i am too.

Don’t feel bad! Most importantly is that the baby is healthy. Your next baby will be a girl! :)

If it can make u feel better, baby’s gender is dependent on the father’s genes. Not your fault.

Dont blame yourself. There is nothing you can do to get your preferred gender.

gender is based on sperm.. don't blame yourself.. healthy baby can already
