How much are you willing to let go of your pride and dignity for the sake of marriage?

Hi, I think pride is nothing but a sugar coated word for ego. And I think that ego doesn't help a relationship to prosper. I know it easy said than done and our ego does come in between because of which couples argue and fight but I think there is no harm in letting go of your pride each time if you can do that. Yes, but one must not compromise on one's self respect and dignity.
