How do I get my 8 yr son to get out of his infatuation phase with my neighbor's daughter. I want him to focus on his studies only!

8 years is such a beautiful age, when your child is starting to venture towards the adolescent world, but is not there yet.....it is a time of curiosity and new friendships and lots of new attachments. as long as the infatuation does not affect your son's daily routine or studies, what is the harm? and what exactly do you mean by infatuation here? i think what you mean is that your son looks up to this girl and loves whatever she does. my kid has been through the same phase, idolising a classmate no end....but it was all very sweet and innocent :) life is not just about studies, it is about these experiences too, so i would say don't worry so much
